Millions are subjected to this garbage every day. It is akin to brainwashing.

no more CNN

The CNN feed at the airport is a special airport only version. It is not the same feed as you get on cable. For example, they will not show a plane crash on the airport feeds.

That said, I think their monopoly in this space needs to be challenged. I vote for Al Jazeera.

You still have to listen to all the leftist commentators in there. It is the only thing qith volume in thebairport. Everyone is forced to listen, consciously or otherwise.

Al Jazeera, BBC, or even CNNi would be an upgrade. But I've spent a lot of time in a lot of lounges and honestly don't know that anyone really actually watches the television news unless something major is going on. Most of us are on our personal devices.

No you don't. Don't pretend you don't have options except to always watch CNN.

They need to put non-political stuff in there. HGTV, DIY Chanel, History Channel, etc.

Even if people are not listening, CNN is being legitimized to the masses. Same as Doctors offices. Anywhere that you have to wait around, you are being presented CNN as legit.

having it playing 24/7 even to an empty room or ignored and unwatched in an airport still records as viewership ratings and brings in ad revenue based on that airtime.

by putting it on in those venues it self funds its propaganda through false ratings as well as the constant drum beat of propaganda is seen and over time sinks in

For the record... I find that business sitting areas I frequent have a disheartening number of CNN monitors going. That is troubling. Some are even owned by conservative biz people.

I think less of them for allowing it.

I would normally agree but I’m strongly against forcing private companies to do something. Besides, most of the news channels will be biased to the left, the other few news channels are to the right.

Are airports privately run? I honestly don't know, but the service they provide certainly crosses into the domain of public transportstion.

Consider your audience. The Poli Board watches more cable news (and complains about more cable news) than any group I've ever seen. Old people man.

Pass and sign a freedom in entertainment act that bans satellite / cable / streaming providers from selling channel bundles. Everything is a LA cart. End mandatory subsidies of leftist propaganda.

I am all for free markets to decide.

If FOX wants to show NFL football and pay the NFL a gazillion dollars, let 'em.
