Regarding the MANY #metoo claims......Shouldn't we discuss what was said last year?

Editor's note. For the purposes of this thread, I'm speaking only to accusations that have largely been admitted to. The rest are just.........accusations.
But, to those admitted to. Most people are focused on the accused. I, on the other hand, am focused on the people.......many people in some cases.......who seem to have known or have ADMITTED they knew about the behavior.
I'd like to see some decent journalist go out and find out what all those virtue signaling fricks had to say in 2016.
For example. It seems readily obvious from my reading of the story that people who worked around Charlie Rose were aware of his proclivities. And, we're talking NPR here folks! I think it goes without saying that NPR had a point of view regarding Trump and his supposed sexism.
We need some enterprising folks to dig up all of the hypocritical virtue signalers.

this is probably the best examples of "the ends justify the means" that you'll find in recent times
they legit manufactured an entire social justice narrative to attack Trump while enabling and hiding actual sexual predators, because they voted the right way, still had use in trying to attack Trump at the time, and it would have hurt their political party to have a public examination of the sexual improprieties at issue

I mean how many pussy hat wearers have since come forward as KNOWING about Weinstein? For years! Decades!
It just seems to me some of these people need to be publicly called on it

i have had a metric frick ton of personal shite going on the past week so i haven't been posting but i have meant to talk about that point in response to the liberals/DEMs trying to spin the Franken stuff. when the GOP is painted as being the anti-woman party, there is going to be less of a shock when it's revealed that members of the GOP have done acts negative to women
now, when you're part of the group who publicly screams for women's rights, it's going to be a MUCH bigger deal to find out that you coddle, protect, and support people you know are hurting women...and sometimes you're helping to hide it. the hypocrisy is what makes this a bigger deal (along with the lulz)
i'll give a "flip flop" example. Barney Frank coming out as gay? not a big deal. Larry Craig getting busted for "toe tapping"? big deal

This is a fair question. Simply because of the lack of consistency on the part of those on the Left. They will quickly bludgeon the Right for any indiscretion (whether it be a simple accusation or otherwise) but willingly turn a blind eye to those on the Left. If they truly were the party of the oppressed and the downtrodden then they would let their virtue take them wherever an injustice occurs. But they don’t. They only attack the Right And that is my biggest issue with them. They are often accusing the Right in the most malicious manner of acts they know (not suspect, know) are being committed by those on the Left. And they refuse to act. Their purported virtue and angst rings hollow with me.

I don’t recall but has Ashley Judd spoken out regarding Harvey Weinstein? Was she ever harassed or did she defend him?

I need some clarity for my OP here.
Let me be very clear. It is OBVIOUS from the facts of their actions that are coming to light that they didn't look at these type acts as worthy of bludgeoning.
Look at Vega's response to the Moore accusers. She said, "oh, that's just Charlie being Charlie".
She didn't say, "Oh that is fricking Horrible but, he makes us a ton of money".
No. She didn't even consider it a big deal.
That is a VERY different thing. It tells you that in 2014, not a one of them would have given a rat's frick about the Access Hollywood tape if they'd just seen it on some random show. They'd have, at worse, thought it was humorous crude commentary.
Not a one of them would actually have thought.....on their own, "well that shite is sexism".

This should be on every GOP commercial from now until the end of time.

but has Ashley Judd spoken out regarding Harvey Weinstein?
yes, but not until Octover of 2017
the alleged incident happened around 1997
so miss "women's rights" allowed the monster to roam for 20 years after her incident and did nothing

you'd have to have a member of the press or Hollywood running for office
but, which leads me to a side note...i guess this hysteria is going to limit which celebrities do run for office coming up, so that's good

I guess she just feared for her ability to make a living if she came forward.

No. Worse than that.
Continued to work for him.
Was aware of OTHER women getting the same treatment.
Said nothing.
For 20 fricking years.

There is way too much common sense in the posts of this thread. Must be why the thread is devoid of our lefties on here.
