Maybe Virginia is returning to normalcy! Or at least large sections of it. Lord I hope so. I love Staunton and the Shenandoah Valley.

Me too ... love that area for its history and preservation. We had a week long trip planned for the Appalachian Trail near Staunton , south through the Valley .... but the trails have been closed since March. Missed the primary date and the backup date .... and still closed as of this weekend. You can’t even escape the bastages by going into the backcountry.

But that sure is beautiful country.... and the closer you get to Mt. Rogers, the more beautiful it becomes....

The only way dems win is if they cheat like hell.

Pittsburgh County Settles Lawsuit Over Dead, Duplicate Voter Registrants

I think VA will go to Trump. The democrats fought like hell turning it blue with even having a fake libertarian for the Clinton/McCauiliffe stronghold of death and the shitty current Governor.

Which Dem billionaire admitted to buying the 21 dems as fake moderates to give Pelosi the gavel back?

You mean the FOPA Alabama where I have to stop at the border at the rest station to unload my pistol and shove all my rounds in the glove box and lock my piece in the trunk and that shuts down my ability to buy liquor after a certain time or on certain days or makes me buy them from a a state agency ran liquor store or the Florida that was pulling everybody over on the side of the interstate and sequestering them and requiring that they quarantine themselves or face jail time?

Are those the 'free' states you're talking about?

Yall like to talk shite about Louisiana but you don't know shite about law. Louisiana is one of the freest states in the nation. You need to get off the majority frequented by Louisiana residents tigerdroppings and get out once in awhile.

It’s a cool hike

Damascus is a very seasonal town, assuming you start there, so if you go early or late in the hiking season, they may be shut down. The hostel is basic and comfortable.

That is just my opinion though and I am also of the opinion the GOP retakes the House, the question is how much?

It would be great but i just don’t think it’s possible for the good guys to take the house.

They might close ground but the way districts are set up I just don’t see it.

In other words, they had no idea voters were actually paying attention and noting democratic insanity and heavy handiness.

Well just watch any mainstream news, talk shows, and tons of other social media. Every day you’re bombarded with how trash trump is, his supporters are racist, and 100 other things to try and push that story. A good chunk of trump supporters don’t GAF about that, but a good number do. So they do a number of things; don’t answer silly polls, lie about their support for trump to avoid flack, or just stay quiet altogether. But rest assured in November they are voting for him, and the pundits will play the “how could that have happened” card once again.

Republicans could win a 99% majority in everyone seat and they will find a way to give the dems 51% of the power.

It’s uncanny.

the pendulum swings harder every time. I lie about my trump support all the time, try to drop subtle 'red pills' which is really just the truth.

I've also learned that pretty much everyone who says they 'don't want to discuss politics' is a trump supporter - because democrats and lefties are so convinced of the ''rightness'' of their cause they trumpet it to the sky and bash orange man loudly and openly every chance they get, always with zero self awareness, critical thinking, or basic consideration for others who may not be 100% in lockstep with them.

Hopefully when Trump wins again this year more of them will start to question the authenticity of the media. But most won't.

The problem with the democrats and their polls is their echo chambers. They have near absolute control of their base by mostly keeping the outside noise blocked out so to them everyone they see and know seem to agree with them and be democrats. This I believe is why they are genuinely surprised and so extremely defensive when there is opposition to their viewpoints.

What's most promising to me is the turnout.

These are small local elections with very low turnout typically, around 7,000 votes the previous cycle.

This cycle had 17,000 which is an insane spike and that's with the corona virus shite going on.

So true. As I recall, there was only one major poll that correctly called the 2016 election correctly, ... the LA Times Poll.

How did they do it? Very simple. Among a series of questions, they began by asking Voters (both registered and a healthy sprinkling on unregistered) who they would vote for. This resulted in a significant number of "Undecided" responses.

Later in the same interview, respondents were asked "who do you think your neighbor will vote for?" ... THAT was the key question that other polls didn't care to ask. .... and those answers indicated a heavy lean towards Trump.

Seems people were comfortable admitting their neighbor would vote Trump, while secretly sheltering their own viewpoint in the election.
