Yesterday wasn't a hearing, it was a filibuster by Democrats to use a high-profile member of the administration to get eyeballs on their circus so they could grandstand. They weren't interested in getting answers from him.

There is no reason to use the term peaceful in front of protest. The media knows they are using It purposefully to drive a narrative vs reality.
