The "slippery slope" was replaced with a cliff while we weren't paying attention.

How’s that compromise with the anti-smoking crew working out where we agreed that it was common sense to have smoking/non-smoking sections in restaurants?

Many non-smokers, of which I am one, have an emotionally irrational response to smokers, like gun grabbers have with gun owners.

Thats the worst attitude you can possibly have. We should all try to reach reasonable compromises when we disagree, not just stick to your guns (Literally) no matter what.

As a Veteran and Responsible gun owner, I think my fellow gun owners should support common sense gun laws that will protect us all.

I think the first new gun law we need to implement immediately is a complete ban on owning guns and ammo if you can't demonstrate that you supported Trump. Those that didn't support Trump are too deranged to be trusted with firearms as they're very dangerous. If you can demonstrate that you did support Trump you should be allowed to own whatever you can afford.

Absolutely, None of the proposed additional laws or existing laws for that matter will curb mass shootings.

So if we give things up with this shooting what will we have to give next shooting.

They are preparing Americans to have the mindset that “Guns” must be punished each time there is a tragedy. Every time we give in it becomes harder to fight the next round of infringements.

The proper way to handle the gun grabbers is tell them “Guns are guaranteed in the Constitution. If you can’t live with that move to another Nation.”

It's the selfish "it won't effect me, so doesn't matter" crowd. the ones that can't look past their noses.

Mass shooting excluded, if we wanted to reduce gun crimes we should put people who commit other lessor VIOLENT crimes in jail for 25 years. Many of the gun crimes in America are drug related. Most of these perpetrators committed other violet crimes before using a gun. Assault, rape, etc.

When our criminal justice system is soft of crime this is the result. After someone gets arrested and they are back out in a few days or months there isnt really any incentive for others to not follow in their foot steps.

But someone beats the crap out of a storeowner and the criminal goes to jail for a couple of decades means two things happen. First that a-hole isnt out in society committing other crimes. Second someone who is younger sees the criminal go to jail as a young man and has white hair when he is released.

This is dangerous thinking. Rights are for everyone, not just those who you agree with. Everyone has a right to defend themselves.
