Because he is a trained medical professional (eye Dr I believe) people expected him to be more active and ask harder questions during the pandemic. People were begging him to get involved and lead efforts to ask questions.
He was made for that moment to step up and lead and he really just sat on his hands. Sure after the fact he’s got a few good sound bites with Fauci in hearings but the damage is already done.

Five years ago I would have voted for Rand for President.
If given the option I would vote him out of office tomorrow. The only option left is brute force and crushing our opponents. Power is all that matters and Rand Paul is useless in a moment like this.

Paul is your typical Doctor who is compromised by his Hippocratic oath. He fails to understand that drug cartels are a lawless army whose goal is our destruction and exploitation for financial gain. It’s why doctors make terrible politicians.
