I can see his point about tariffs, but don't agree with him at all about taking out the drug boats.

Rand Paul has been in Congress how long? WTF has he done besides pontificate?
He’s no dictator than McCain, McCarthy, and Lindsey. STFU already.
I’m sorry massie’s wife died. I feel terrible for him and his family. But stop grandstanding and work to help Trump be successful. And STFU.

In this case, Rand is absolutely, positively, without a doubt, 100% in the right on this issue.
He’s been in government longer than Trump and actually works in the branch that controls spending.
These guys have done nothing in the grand scheme of things. And weren’t the resistance under Obama and Biden.
Rand Paul would just be bitching and grandstanding just with Democrats still in power if it wasn’t for Trump.

It's too late the game to be a fence-sitter, or to try to negotiate with the progressive Left. There is zero reason to ally ourselves with them on any issue.

I know this might come as a shock, but there’s a lot of issues where Trump is wrong. Parroting and falling inline with ‘your party’ is part of what’s wrong with this country. Have some principles. Stand by them.

Very true.
But battle on.
That which is true.

I asked chat gpt this
It is very unimpressive for the outspoken libertarian
Seems he could do a lot more than bitch about tariffs

Rand Paul's Congressional Career Rand Paul has served in Congress as the junior United States Senator from Kentucky since January 3, 2011. As of October 2025, he has completed approximately 14 years in office. Signature Achievements in Legislation 1. USA PATRIOT Act Reform One of Rand Paul's notable efforts in legislation was his role in advocating for the USA FREEDOM Act in 2015, which aimed to reform certain provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act. This act was designed to limit government surveillance and protect citizens' privacy rights by ending the bulk collection of metadata by the National Security Agency (NSA). 2. Veterans Affairs Accountability Rand Paul co-sponsored the Veterans Affairs Accountability Act in 2014. This legislation aimed to improve the accountability of employees within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), allowing for quicker dismissals of employees found to be engaged in misconduct and thereby improving services for veterans. These achievements reflect his commitment to civil liberties and veterans' welfare, aligning with his libertarian philosophies.

Thomas Massie. Liberty score 96. Primaried by Trump and AIPAC.
Rand Paul. Liberty score 93. Primaried by Trump and AIPAC.
Lindsey Graham. Liberty score 43. Backed by Trump and AIPAC.
fricking clown world the Trump people live in. It might be worse than the cult of personality that followed Obama.

Paul said Massie represents an "independent voice" within the GOP after his repeated splits with the party, but stated that both Massie and himself support Trump’s agenda "significantly more" than other Republicans who have sought to remain close allies of the president.
Devil's advocate on this one, Rand is correct here. 90% of the GOPe are buttering Trump's biscuits publicly but doing everything they can to actively subvert and delay the codifying of the MAGA agenda.
Looking straight at you, Johnson.
Johnson and Massie both align far more with "America First" than half of the GOPe stooges current carrying cards in the popular kids' club. And I'm 100% supportive of Massie's refusal to just let the Epstein thing fade like a fart in a hurricane. Half of Trump's campaign was run on the promise that he'd blow the lid off and give us the truth about everything Epstein, but they he basically just told everyone they're stupid to believe a "media conspiracy theory".
That's some fricking bullshite and everyone knows it. Trump, Patel and Bongino are proving to be major disappointments on this topic. I didn't know what to expect from Patel, but Trump and Bongo both have just done a complete 180 and it's not right.

Explain this "liberty score" like it actually matters - what have they actually passed
There are almost a million laws that could be eliminated or correct ones passed - what have they actually done other than words

It’s ok to disagree

I am OK with him....he has been pretty consistent

He is wrong on the tariffs and time has proven that.
Drug Criminals in other countries trying to increase drug deaths in USA get no sympathy from me. In this case protection my the military is needed

Please tell me how Paul is the most principled in DC. He is a friggin' troll who ran for POTUS to get recognized as a "former candidate for POTUS". He is eaten up with short man syndrome and gets coverage due to animosity towards the POTUS!!

this is a "i am Spartacus" moment for him. his virtue signaling is as exhausting as the dems
Massie and he (Rand Paul) are both insufferable attention hooers.
And MTG going on CNN to slam Trump has lost me as well.

If you think this way you must realize it allows the left to define you completely, right?

Then be honest… change your party affiliation to Libertarian and run as a Libertarian, Rand. But you know your DC gravy train is over if you do that… Mr. “Principled.”
