POTUS made this one of the top tenets of his campaign and didn't have his act together either. Bad plan, no leadership. Hey, it's was a good campaign tactic while it lasted though...

God I hope you are right brother... That is my hope as well. A true conservative approach would be refreshing if not relaxing.

Well, he submitted a conservative as frick budget. This "failure" will give him just the political cover to go conservative on healthcare too, if that is what he wants. Otherwise he can see how much power he holds with the voters in the interim elections.

There will be a vote and all "35" of those Republicans will have to go on the record. Good luck with that

I'm sure they'll gladly go on the record of being against a very unpopular bill

Do what Paul wants to do. One vote for repeal and another for replacement.

Paul comes across as almost boastful about bill failure

What? All he's done is criticize the bill (which is rightfully should be criticized) and told Ryan you have to negotiate with us because we have the votes. Ryan just refuses to negotiate.

If Ryan gives in to the Freedom Caucus, the bill dies in the Senate.

I must believe that Trump knows what is going on here. No way he is being duped into this shite legislation.

I just read on Drudge where the AP is reporting that Trump has said, "Pass the Bill or seal your fate"...

What the fluck is going on behind closed doors you think?

Trump said he would pursue three million illegal voters in California and HE HASN'T and he said he would take his failure of an immigration executive order to the highest court and HE HASN'T and he said Obama wire tapped him and HE DIDN'T.

everyone knows trump lies so no body cares what he threatens.

Very true Lsu81.

My grandpa says that Republicans are the ones who can f$#@# up an election like no entity known to man, lolol.

Democrats all agree that destroying America is a great idea, while many Republicans do agree you them, there are some that won't get on board that train just yet.

too soon to make the call.

has potential for all time list.

what makes this one special is that Trump threatened to primary anyone who opposes this bill. After they would not cave, then he said he was just kidding.

Just kidding. no one believes him.

Assuming this bill does go belly-up, we're going to have a glorious "Art of the Deal and the Healthcare Bill" thread this weekend...

Ideological purity on one side and protecting the gravy train on one side and grandstanding everywhere.

There's literally two political parties inside the GOP right now.

Do that and Ryan loses all leverage. Fail to pass something to replace it by 2018 and the Republicans are done.
