Doubt it, an 84 year old man probably doesnt have a lot of money. Since this is private he is not suing a city/government intity that would quickly settle for millions. Lester's homeowners insurance will decline paying damages and dude's bank account is probably just social security checks. Now im sure there will be idiots donating to his go fund me.

This shooting happened less than a week ago. I hope it stays in the news for weeks, though. I also would like to see other stories for weeks -the girl in NY who shot when turning around in a driveway and the cheerleader shot after she got out of a car she got in by mistake.

The story goes he was picking up his siblings at a house on NE 115 Terrace and he ended up at a house on NE 115 Street. The streets are parallel and a block apart.
If I had to guess, he rang the doorbell or knocked, wasn't getting an answer and opened the door to say "hey im here for my brother and sister. The elderly home owner only saw a stranger coming into his house, and thought he was being robbed, and shot the kid.
I would bet money there is no racial motivation in the shooting, but a very unfortunate misunderstanding.
