Isn't Opelousas 3/4 Black?
I have been there a few times and dont remember seeing any black folks. While some may go, I dont think it is the core of his clientele.
I know the owner also and he is a nice guy.
I think I may have just put out a statement that the worker was being stupid and was being fired. But I can definitely see him overreacting and not wanting a couple hundred race baiters showing up and ruining his business. I know this place took a beating during the rough part of covid.

I spoke to a family member. They were upset because they were near the door, not the window.

What a pathetically weak man that is.

Literally a scene out of Superbad.
Ethnically...uh, was he like us?

This entire thing is like being blackmailed as country, and for whatever reason the vast majority of people who COULD simply say, "Nah...I'm not doing that," and have it actually matter and keep this all from happening by sheer force of will have caved and are being lead around by their noses while a few of us stand around shaking our heads at these idiots walking themselves to the slaughter.

Nah...that reads like a hostage note. Drew Brees sounded like a pathetically weak man. This guy sounds like he knows full well that without this attempt some a-hole will undoubtedly burn down his business.

Saying "That uppity spade in the fancy suit" or "those loud smokes in the corner" is a pretty good indicator of some deep-seated racism.
Saying "That Black man in the tweed jacket" or "the Black family near the window" is just a benign physical description.
Absolutists struggle with understanding the difference.
The problem lies in catering to the Absolutists. As a small kid many moons ago, I remember rolling my eyes when Howard Cosell would be ringside at a boxing match between a Black and a White, insisting on referencing "the boxer in the dark trunks" to avoid saying "Black."

The hoe with the c section and no kids.

It's not so much that they struggle with it, it's that they understand that by pushing this they are placing "the other side" into a situation with no good outcome. Either acquiesce and get laughed at for being weak, or refuse and get called a bigot.
Not sure if you saw it, but during that nonsense at Evergreen College a few years back, one of the most troubling things I saw was the University President in the cafeteria, while staff there were essentially held hostage by "students," being told to stop raising his arms while he spoke because it was threatening! Keep in mind, this guy could not have been a bigger Beta by the looks of him, so he could have been wielding a machete and no real person would have felt threatened. But, he immediately listened to the demand and lowered his arms and stood there like a tin soldier talking while keeping his arms flat against his sides while the "students" laughed at him for obeying. He might as well have wet his pants on command to place a cherry on top of his emasculation.
Other than a small amount of idiots that get swept up in this narrative of being a perpetual victim, I don't believe for a second anyone is truly an absolutist for any reason other than political games.
Sure...could the restaurant have in place a system that does this job better than describing patrons? Obviously. Is what this person wrote racist or bigoted or insulting in any way? Obviously not.

How bad has it gotten when they have to post a news story about so called racist shite in Opelousas...

Nope...caught it. I was just using your post as a jumping off point.

Ima take a picture of this receipt and post it on social media to show how racist those white arse mf sobs are!

Should they have said the colored people by the window?

Practically, it is a quick and easy way to distinguish whether one is referencing a crayon or a person, but I have trouble getting too excited about the issue, either way.
The AP adjusted their style in response to blm. It’s ridiculous as it is not a proper noun but a descriptive. You can see the agenda when they type Black then in the same article type white or brown. It’s foolishness
