Quick Refresher on the J6 Pipe Bomber Cell Data

With all of the discussion about the J6 pipe bomber lately (well, except for in the news circles of the people who need to read this), we need to refresh the conversation on the FBI and it’s cell geofence data.
Steve D’Atuono (of Whitmer fedknapping fame) was director of the FBI Washington Field Office on J6.
He claims that they had the bomber geofenced, but the data became corrupted:
(What an odd thing for D’Antuono to say)

Cell providers (providers with an s) told congress:
(Pg 4 of 80)

The House Oversight Committee then asked the FBI to confirm their position of the cell phone data being corrupted from the provider

To which the FBI never responded.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

He claims that they had the bomber geofenced, but the data became corrupted:
quote:
We did a complete geofence. We have complete data. Not complete, because there’s some data that was corrupted by one of the providers, not purposely by them, right. It just – unusual circumstance that we have corrupt data from one of the providers. I’m not sure – I can’t remember right now which one. But for that day, which is awful because we don’t have that information to search. So could it have been that provider? Yeah, with our luck, you know, with this investigation it probably was, right. So maybe if we did have that – that data wasn’t corrupted – and it wasn’t purposely corrupted. I don’t want any conspiracy theories, right. To my knowledge, it wasn’t corrupted, you know, but that could have been good information that we don’t have, right. So that is painful for us not to have that. So we looked at everything.

Cell providers (providers with an s) told congress:
quote:
the major cell carriers confirmed that they did not provide corrupted data to the FBI and that the FBI never notified them of any issues with accessing the cellular data.

The House Oversight Committee then asked the FBI to confirm their position of the cell phone data being corrupted from the provider
quote:
I, therefore, ask that you respond in writing to the following questions: 1. Did the FBI receive corrupted or otherwise unusable cellular data returns from one or more of the cell carriers in connection with the investigation into the individual who planted two explosive devices at the RNC and DNC on the evening of January 5, 2021? a. If so, which cell carriers) provided corrupted data to the FBI? b. If so, how was the cellular data transmitted to the FBI? (Drop Box, Hard Drive, file transfer, etc.) c. If so, was any third-party entity involved in transmitting the cellular data to the FBI? 2. If the FBI received corrupted or otherwise unusable cellular data returns, did the FBI inform the cell carrier(s) that provided corrupted data that the data they provided was corrupted or otherwise unusable? a. If so, did the FBI make any attempt to obtain an uncorrupted or otherwise usable version of the data? Please describe in writing the efforts made to retrieve an uncorrupted version of the data.

@FBIDDBongino needs to be pinged on this.
The man was ALL over the pipe bomb case before going to the FBI.
I like Dan and believe that he will get to the bottom of this important case.

Who the frick cares if the FBI plotted and partly carried out a bombing to paint MAGA as evil.
Did you see what Karoline Leavitt said the other day?

Thanks for posting.
....AND Kerkhoff's phone was in an exempted group as law enforcement. So she wouldn't have been swept up. I hope they follow up on that.

To further complicate matters, despite the FBI apparently waiting 2 (2!) weeks after J6 to request preservation of the data:
The public didn’t learn about this until 2025.
To reiterate (and from a separate document from above), the official response to congress from the cell carriers (“all three major cell carriers”) was that the data was not corrupted.

To reiterate (and from a separate document from above), the official response to congress from the cell carriers (“all three major cell carriers”) was that the data was not corrupted.
quote:
On January 2, 2025, the Committee on House Administration, Subcommittee on Oversight (Oversight Subcommittee) and the House Committee on Judiciary, Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust released a report examining federal law enforcement's investigation into the individual(s) who planted both pipe bombs? According to the report, the Oversight Subcommittee "sent letters to the major cell carriers" to verify D'Antuono's testimony and to "confirm whether they provided corrupted cell tower data to the FBI or whether the FBI contacted the [major] cell carriers to inform them that ... [the] data was corrupted. In response to these letters, all three major cell carriers reportedly indicated that they neither provided corrupted data to the FBI nor recived any notification from the FBI of any issues accessing the data

Thx. Didn't know that. If he's still in FBI, that explains the apparent reluctance to solve the case.
UPDATE: He has retired.

Since the arrival of Donald J Trump in 2016, the FBI and DOJ have been nothing more than gatekeepers protecting the DC Uniparty Globalists, their other prime directive is to cleanup and destroy any evidence that would threaten the corrupt system.
