I thought that everybody knew by now that the US Army has had active duty combat Soldiers, many of them from Fort Polk, on Southern Border Duty for many months now. They spend some months there and rotate out, place taken by another active duty military unit.
They are policing the international border right now.
I suppose somebody ought to tell the Democrats that they need to Impeach Trump for Violation of the Posse Comitatus Act. Trump has been getting away with this High Crime for many months now.
PS I think that there are some USMC military personnel pulling also pulling that duty.
PSS Shhh. Don't tell anybody that I told you this Super Secret Trump Criminal Behavior.

The Marines def have their place in the Middle East but in today’s battle space when requires a lot more special operations type missions the Army and Air Force a much more capable of conducting such things.

You do realize they are prohibited from performing any law enforcement duties, to include detaining illegal immigrants, seizing drugs, etc., right? They are not even armed.
They are there purely to support state, local, and federal law enforcement along with National Guard units activated under Title 32 with equipment maintenance, air transport, etc.
