Lol...
Trump was a real estate mogul and has a degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
And a dream that never was what? America isn't and/or never was great?
Who did Obama appeal to by the way, angry black folks clinging to the fever dream of an America that never will be [free everything in the form of reparations]?

America never wasn't great.

I mean it will send him into a further tailspin of trigger, because I don't think he has reconciled this, but that is the definition of pure "identity politics."

Then you obviously think that Michelle Obama's comment about being proud to be an American for the first time in her life was scummy and despicable
Glad to know we can find common ground baw

This is unfair, Stabenow's policy positions are horrible, her record speaks for itself / I am against just about everything she is for
Ritchie endorses positions I agree with
Is he uncouth and unconventional?
Absolutely, but still a better option than his opponent
It not rocket science and supporting him is not necessarily an emotional decision
Labeling it as such is condescending and unfair
I never said voting for Rock was an emotional decision. I said the reason that Rob specifically gave for voting for Rock was an emotional decision, and provide a 'case in point' for Sleaux's hypothesis. i don't make generalizations like that, I recognize someone might for a candidate for a whole variety of reasons.

Just extend this logic to any other aspect of your life and see how ridiculous it sounds.
You feel a sudden pain in your chest....So instead of the doctor, or 911, or your nurse friend next door, you call up your drop out friend Jimbo who marathoned the entire ER series.
I get what you're saying but his competition is Stabenow who is awful. So it's a little like being a cancer patient and your doctor, for awhile now, has taken measure to actually make the cancer worse and then your dropout friend Jumbo says, "hold on, maybe I can help."

By simply pointing out that Rob's vote was an emotional one which was not based on policy
The reality is, it is my view that the single greatest threat in America today is the form of liberalism that is driven almost entirely by the "demographics is destiny" approach to politics. This view has a very definitive goal and a very systematic way of approaching it.
A way that standard response is not only ineffective but in often cases, is emboldening.
Several candidates were "more qualified" than Trump and yet, when the time came to say, "no, creating a climate of violence is NOT an acceptable way to disagree with your fellow Americans, they not only didn't do that, they APOLOGIZED for Trump not kissing arse enough to prevent it.
When O'Malley said "all lives matter" and ended up groveling to those who seek to destroy America, him being "qualified" ceased to matter.
The existential threat to the U.S. is the batshit crazy left and the Democratic party has not only failed to reign it in, they now cater to it.
Which, wouldn't be so bad, except Republicans have spent the last 30 years trying to beg that wing to not call them racists.
It is ABSOLUTELY a matter of policy that this disease be exposed for what it is at every possible opportunity.
Policy isn't just about what someone plans to write in a bill. Hell, Obama proved that.
Politics is MUCH more than that.
But, if you want to talk about qualifications. OK. Henry Ford once pointed out that he didn't know how to run a corporation, but he knew who he could trust that could.
Hitler was immensely qualified to run a country. We aren't hiring someone to do brain surgery here. Qualifications are important. They aren't the be all.
Now, with all that said, do I run around thinking, "oh boy, Kid Rock is running........I can't think of anyone better!!".
Of course not. But, that wasn't the point of my post.

Then you tell Jumbo to take a hike and call another doctor.
Michigan is a big place, is Kid Rock really the best you all can do?

As a regular old white dude, I shockingly don't really identify with black women. Yet, her comments didn't rile me up like it did others.
It's not lost on me that the GoP is on a bullet train to replace Democrats as the perpetually aggrieved class.

You could have supported Rand Paul. That's why I pretty much dismiss the "Trump isn't like them, so I support him" argument.
There were better options available and Republicans ignored them.

I'm so happy to see these comments.
It's like those on the left have learned nothing.

I think this gets to at least one core reason why some of you Republicans are wiling to choose the Kid Rock's of the world as their representatives.
If you believe even the worst Republican is better then the best Democrat, then you are going to be willing to rationalize voting for some really fricked up people.

Man, I can't quite put my finger on why blacks, who might have a different view of America's historical greatness, would vote for Obama. That is a tough one.

Who's to say he's unqualified? We have a guy in the senate now who was a comedian on saturday night live. Seems the only qualification there really is is being able to get elected. Once your there anyone can be a crook, oh I mean senator
No he wasn't....he was a SNL writer. He was on the show from time time but he was no more a comedian than Tina Fey.

1. A one term senator who, prior to entering public office, had never been in charge of anything in his life. Who had never held an executive position in government. Who had basically been nothing more than a hanger on.
2. A person whose #1 qualification was, "was married to very popular Democrat" and then handed a Senate position with no competition followed by getting beat by the #1 nobody and being handed a State position as Presidential setup. Who also had never held an executive position or been in charge of anything in here whole life.
So. Please oh please spare me the "muh qualifications", "is that the best you can do" claptrap.

Obviously, not. My point is for most democrat voters, the "unqualified" argument is crap.
