So in other words, you guys aren't interested in intellectually stimulating debate complete with nuance, reason, and understanding. You are solely here to confirm your own bias and "hurr durr conservatards all racist hurr durr".

You see everything political as a game, where there is a winner and a loser. That's a problem.

There's literally a post on this board that says "if white nationalism is wrong, I don't want to be right" it has 51 up votes. Clearly more white nationalists than I'd like to see on this board. And even more that are sympathetic

I disagree with this. However, when referencing politics and politicians, it's hard to ignore a 90% democrat voting block,

I'm not sure why it's hard to understand. If I were a black man why would I want to be in the same party with David Duke and all of his racist friends. 90% seems a little low.

Exactly. Anyone who is using that term today is outing themselves as someone who can't think for themselves.

But this board represents more like 20% of the country.

At best. The biggest problem with this board has always been that they think racism is calling someone the N word or lynching them. They've never understood institutional racism or anything like it.

Also, they do not understand dog whistles at all. The reason why there are so many white nationalist organizing like they did today is because Trump has sent signals that it is ok.

Throw those downvotes at me.

Yeah because being in the same party as Robert Byrd is so great.
And the party of George Wallace

And being in the party that founded the clan....
And being in the party that has "championed" for blacks the last 50 years yet their station in life as a whole has decreased during that time....

I'm sorry what was your point?

That's fair, but just because there are bad apples that favor something you also favor, doesn't make that "thing" wicked.

Not all of those that believe in the government taking care of the poor are Stalinist, but all Stalinists believe in the government taking care of the poor.

There is no such thing as a movement free of dirty laundry.

Completely agree but the Republican Party needs to do way more to completely disassociate themselves and condemn the racists instead of burying their head in the sand in order to keep their votes. Trump's embarrassment of a statement today is a good example.

Only a total moron would offer up this argument in 2017.

I'm not a Democrat but I think it fits the majority of posters on this board more aptly then it does the Democratic party.

No
No
And no.

Now, do you and other Trump supporters here believe that the average democrat supports the action of the left wingnuts?

And do you and other Trump supporters here truly believe that half the country that thinks differently than you has a heart so wicked and slimy?

Nonsense argument and you know it. The founders of the clan, Wallace, and all of the racists southern democrats of the 40s 50s and 60s would be hardcore republicans if they lived today and you know damn well they would be.

Youve literally made that up in your head. If anything Trump is doing the right thing by not calling out any specific group. None. Of the fringe groups on either side of the spectrum deserve the attention of the President. It only legitimatizes them, which is what Obama did when he brought BLM to the White House. He made them think they're opinion actually counted for something.

That's because "White nationalism" is a made up boogeyman created by the left to paint anyone who loves their country and want to put America first and who happens to be white as somehow equivalent to Hitler. Words mean things. Look up the definitions of those words and you'll understand how stupid it is to use those words to point people in a certain group.

haughton99 has never, ever said anything about "democrats needing to dissociate themselves" on this board.

He treats the democratic party with absolute kid gloves, while at the same time being incredibly harsh on the republican party.

It's unfair how much tougher he is on the latter.
