I don't understand why you gotta be a dick about it. By the time this thing is over, "wearing tinfoil" is going to be seen as a badge of honor with all the crazy conspiracy theories being proven true by the fricking day, man.

And you didn't answer my question, although I appreciate the link to the renovations being done. My question was, if this is because of renovations, why wouldn't they just say that in the article I brought to this thread? They're not blaming renovations, they're blaming a hoax virus.

So here you're suggesting that the press is lying about renovations to Buckingham Palace for whatever reason, electing to tell the people it's because of Covid instead. And you accuse me of being the "tinfoil hat wearer."
There's no reason to lie about doing renovations unless there is a bigger angle they're working here. But I'm the crazy one for suggesting she was coming off the board for one reason or another. Which, she now has, btw. She's upset because she can't "do work" from Windsor or Balmoral. In other words, she's been removed from the board. It was going to happen one way or another.

What? Nonsense, man. If you're trying to draw a comparison to our Republic this is an absurd statement. Love it or hate it, at least our system has checks in it. Monarchs are born into this inherently bigoted system that tells people this woman was born better than everyone else. And the people just accept it.
In the age of "social justice" there is simply no place for a monarch.

That isn't the point. I'm not disputing the fricking renovations, CA. I simply asked a question as to why they aren't using the renovations as the reason why she can't return.
Why am I saying she has been taken off the board? Because months ago now, I made the claim that she wouldn't return to Buckingham Palace and that claim is panning out. That's why. And I'm being called crazy for something I predicted months ago panning out.

First, people are born better than other people. Monarchies also typically have checks on them. Now, I haven't come to a complete conclusion as to what type of Monarchy was the best historically; A more autocratic one like Russia or the Eastern Roman Empire, one based more on a tyrant in the Greek Classical sense like a Napoleon or Caesar, or one within in a Constitutional Monarchy.
I guess I tend to the latter but Faith and morality was best preserved by the former. And in this sense social justice was best exhibited historically by the most autocratic monarchs.
