It's simple.
There are 23 sets of chromosomes in the human body. The pairing that determines our gender is XX (female) or XY (male). You're born with one or the other. IT NEVER CHANGES.
If you have no Y chromosome, you're a female. If you have a Y chromosome, you're a male. This is true in 99.98% of all human births, worldwide. The only exceptions to XX/XY are the 2/10,000 births that might be an anomaly like the rare XYY type that is associated with a condition similar to giantism.
Now, I said all that to say this:
By genetic programming, 99.98% of people are either male or female, period. PERIOD. There is no goddamn amount of hormone injections or reassignment surgeries that will change that. You're a woman or you're a man.
IT'S BONA FIDE, INCONTESTABLE SCIENCE.
If you are a man thinking that you should be a woman (or vice versa) and that something is wrong with your body, you should consider the likelihood that, albeit more difficult to accept, something is wrong with your MIND.

As a veteran of the Cold War who believes the only good communist is a dead one, I finding it truly bizarre that I now live in a world where the leader of Russia is closer to my traditional American values than the leadership of my own country.

Seriously. Would you ever have thought in a million years that in the event of a defection, the more appealing one would be from the US to Russia? I'm not saying we're there, but, hell, damned if I don't see that as a real possibility if things keep getting worse.
