Where you and I differ is that you think those on welfare/medicaid/EBT are just as deserving as those that worked 40+ years of their lives. I do not.

I think their lives have equal value. You subscribe to the Animal Farm belief that some are more equal than others.

Many users and the industry perpetuate that pot has no addictive properties

I’ve been a frequent user for periods in my life, and I’m here to tell you it’s a different drug now. The THC levels are through the roof. This ain’t your daddy’s dirt weed. And while it may not be addictive in the way opioids are, most frequent users will experience withdrawal when quitting. Your endocannabinoid system comes to depend on the exogenous cannabinoids, and it takes weeks to get back on balance. Anxiety, depressed mood, GI distress, and even heart issues are common. I believe it should be legal, but I also oppose the hippy naïveté bullshite culture that surrounds it. People should understand what they’re getting into.

I too think their lives have equal value. I just don't think I owe them anything.

Riddle me this batman, assuming you have a college degree do you get paid more than others without a degree? Do you feel it is right for you to be paid more? If you do, why? Aren't we all equal and should be paid the same?

I feel that part of ones value is what you have accomplished and/or done with your life. A college degree (in a technical field) shows that you have done more with your life than laying around the housing project. As such, you have more skin in the game than the welfare recipient and honestly have more value to the rest of the nation.

What has improved in the 2+ years since democrats took over?

Republicans just gave Democrats an additional 4T (minimum, no caps) over the next 2 years to implement anything they want. They will wield even more power than they do today.

The Federal government should have no say in the legalization of gambling, prostitution or marijuana legalization.

I'm fine with states putting it up for a vote for themselves.

I would personally vote to legalize all of it.

It's not the government's job to legislate morality when no one's rights are being infringed upon.

Do you consider that an improvement? I asked what has improved. I'm not saying the establishment repubs are the end-all/be-all answer. Just believe they are less of a devil than democrats.

In a Declaration of Independence "all men are created equal" kind of way.

Personally, I think all federally run welfare and entitlement programs should be abolished. Those kinds of programs should be run by local community or religious centers.

Once you start equating people to the value they provide to society, you start down a road that always ends in communism. I want to avoid that

You're conflating value and merit. Two completely different things

Is your pay equated to your value? Should you be paid the same as someone who has not achieved the same amount of eductaion, training, experience, knowledge or skills as you?

Says alot about someone who will put legal weed above good vs evil and vote accordingly. It is a travesty that anyone the age of 18 can vote. What a joke.

Oh yeh...women have ZERO business voting as well.

HOLD THE LINE PATRIOTS! 2 MORE WEEKS!!! WE GONNA TAKE DOWN THE CCP!!! Never mind the synagogue of Satan.

I'm telling you that you are falling for the trap of pretending that electing any Republican is a positive. Take a look at the GOP leader of the house and the Senate.

I'm not defending Democrats. They are actively working to destroy our country.

Really now. So if you more "merit", don't you also then have more "value" to others around you?

Merit - the quality of being particularly good or worthy, especially so as to deserve praise or reward.
Value - the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.

Not really seeing that much difference, but if it will make you feel better. Those that worked 40+ years have much more MERIT than those that have sat around the housing project or trailer park. Feel better now?

100%. We need more loser votes, seriously.

But not in public places please. It smells horrible. The Strip in Vegas smells like a million skunks are running free.

Semantics. Having more merit, that makes one more valuable to the employer. That's why one gets paid more. Seems like a distinction without a difference to me.
