Protesters Who Fled Hong Kong Arrive in U.S., Seeking Asylum
Some pro-democracy Hong Kong protestors against the government of China have fled and sought asylum in the United States, believing that the American nation is the best place to restart their lives. Fortunately for them, the US seems to be willing to provide for them. Well, good luck to them, and welcome to the US of A.
I think it would be useful for the US to Hong Kongers to immigrate easily to the United States. The Hong Kong population is typically quite productive and educated.
Done worry about communism for Hong Kong is considered one of the most economically free areas in the world according to the conservative American think tank the Heritage Foundation. A highly Western-influenced and capitalistic people.

Last July, five young men boarded a recreational boat in a remote harbor in Hong Kong. They passed through waters patrolled by the Chinese authorities and headed east, across the South China Sea.
When they neared Taiwan, they cut off their motor, hoping to be rescued by the Taiwanese Coast Guard. They were in luck.
Now, after months in Taiwan, they intend to seek asylum in the United States, where they arrived at Kennedy International Airport in New York on Wednesday.

I would be careful saying you want them here. For all we know they are Chinese soldiers. I trust nothing from China at this point!

Dude, grow a spine and quit with the paranoia. This attitude what the Chinese want. A proper American helps those in need and acknowledge the hardships people went through to eventually land in the United States of America.

You cast a huge wet uneducated indoctrinated blanket with this statement.
1. Don't purport to be some authority on what a "proper" American is, you little buttfricker. You are NOT in a position to do so.
2. These Chinese need to be thoroughly vetted. IF, AND ONLY IF they are legitimate, should the United States (WE, US, THE ACTUAL CITIZENS) allow them asylum, along with a path to citizenship.
3. WE SHOULD NOT LET JUST ANYBODY COME IN LIKE YOU SUGGEST.
4. For you to suggest that others grow a spine and not be paranoid is comical. You seem like growing a spine means to lay on your back, spread your legs, and open your a-hole for fricking by anybody in the interest of stupid virtue signaling. Not everybody has the right to enter MY country.

They are about two months too late. The government doesn’t want any more pro-freedom loving people here. Joe will gladly hand them back to his Chinese overlords, where they will rot in prison.

I'm simply not afraid of new people seeking a new life. I have lived in a highly diverse and educated suburban neighborhood near a university. I have seen folks who have left terrible areas looking for a new life here in the United States. Strong folks who deserve a chance.
I'm sorry, dude. I just can't be influenced by dumb redneck conspiracy stuff because I have been raised to be a brave patriot and do the right thing. A real American would welcome these folks with open arms for they are fellow advocates of democracy and in pursuit of a better life.

Want to compare passport stamps/visas, places in the world lived/traveled, and foreign languages spoken? But alas, just a dumb redneck here.

Thank you for your service living in a suburban area near academia, which of course is the foundational bedrock of this Constitutional Republic and what it stands for....

Again, ONLY and ONLY after being vetted, and if their cases have true merit.

That's like fleeing Cuba to go to Venezuela

five young men
Why is it always young men? No matter if it's people coming from south of us or people fleeing to Europe.
It's because they have a plan.

Now, after months in Taiwan
Why are they not seeking asylum there?

Sure. Vet them. Caution is still needed for the nation. If their story and identity checks out, then America has obtained productive newcomers and hopefully new Americans in the future.

You ARE literally too stupid to insult.

Naw. I just simply have a different view of being an American. You are probably unprepared to deal with someone like me. Probably because of a lack of exposure to the larger world and submerging yourself in ideological spaces for your comfort. Don't worry about it. You simply need to gain more experience.

This kind of reminds me of Game of Thrones when Arya sought refuge in Roose Bolton's kitchen and then realized how fricked she was.

Biden will deport them straight to Beijing.

Yet the homelessness keeps rising.
We can't even help our current citizens.
Your virtue signaling is just that. This is why no one likes people like you.
You are fricking selfish and narcissistic, I'd be willing to bet you've never actually really helped someone in need. Just say, ohh the government will take care of that.
