They have no idea. They just bark when their handlers ring the bell.
Sad.

Trump is mostly bark and no bite. Draining the swamp by closely associating with swamp creatures before and after his election. Feeding into the military industrial complex. Shitting on NAFTA and then supporting v2.0 with the same fundamentals.

He’s a master equivocator. He’s intentionally ambiguous so that he can carve his way out of things later on. It’s hard to really judge him on policy because his positions are so malleable.

Case in point: he’s basically Bernie Sanders on trade right now. But allegedly it’s temporary. But how long is temporary? See, it’s all subject to debate. It’s malleable.

Support it over Communism and Socialism every single time. Capitalism (non crony) not so much.

Trumps personality is his greatest strength and biggest weakness. But his policies are better for everyday Americans and the Republic’s longevity.

You Prog/Dim leftists won't answer the question honestly because you would answer you don't like Trump's personality or NY swag. His politics are straight up old school Democrat. Trump is at best a moderate Republican on his best days.

Well, I have been voting since 1982, and I estimate that 90% of those votes have been GOP. My LPA vote in 2016 was my first POTUS vote for a non-GOP candidate.

Policy-wise, I probably agree with Trump on 85% of issues. He is basically a center-Right northeast Republican. But he is just so VERY wrong on the other 15% ....

Personality-wise, he is simply a vile human being who demonstrates essentially every trait that makes Southerners superior to Northeasterners.

But if Texas would have been in-play, I still would have voted for the useless bastard to avoid HRC.

If he were a decent human being and less of a hypocrite, I’d still be unhappy about the trade war, the wall, backing out of Paris accord, helping the Saudis, being easy on Russia, etc. And just to be clear, I am not saying [insert any prog’s name here] would be a great President, but I cannot imagine anyone doing any worse for the country than Trump.

The silver lining of the Trump presidency is that we learned (or should have learned) that he cannot do much to circumvent the “swamp” (or whatever you want to call it). The truth about the “deep state” is simple — the world is run by the collective influences of the wealth and powerful. The only check on them is Democratic elections and an individual’s ability to vote with his/her wallet, assuming said individual isn’t duped by whatever propaganda the talking heads are pushing. The only way to “clean the swamp” is with a ton of people clutching on to grassroots efforts that could cost many of wealthy/powerful people worldwide money and/or votes. Voting one outsider into office doesn’t do a whole lot.

Name something that Trump has done that is anywhere close to Rockefellerian.

What measures are you using for this assessment?

The only positive thing he has done is reduce corporate taxes (which could have been done by any other Republican with control of both houses). This gave an already good economy a boost, but nothing was done for the deficit and there is no long-term plan for reducing it. What else should I be happy about?

I didn't ask for positives.

You said.

I don't hate him. I just see him in a different light than his supporters do.

They see him as some hero that is saving us from God knows what

I see him as a fraud. That being said it's not like he's doing an awful job. If anything it has exposed how unimportant that president actually is. If this clown hasn't completely wrecked the system yet then it might be almost impossible to wreck it.

I'll ask you this because asking this of the rabid baws on here is useless. What about Trump or his policies leads you to think he is center right?

And you have not the vaguest understanding of the ACTUAL American political landscape. You envision this monochromatic comic book millieu in which everyone falls neatly into the two categories of hero and villain.

You call your fellow Republicans RINO, without the slightest understanding that the Republican “party” is actually a loose coalition of groups with VERY different views on most issues. To many of is, YOU are the RINO ... we just are not as rude about it as you. In fact, the only uniting principle for the GOP is that they are all (marginally) closer to one another than to Dems.

Let’s say that you are SoCon. (This assumption is a mere courtesy, because I frankly think that you are simply too stupid to understand even your own political views.) On a Nolan chart, you map at the very southeast corner of the Republican coalition. As a right-leaning libertarian, I am out in the top northwest corner of the coalition. We share very few of the same views.

If we overlay a continental United States map on the nolan chart, I am the midwest, and you are somewhere down around Atlanta.

But we vote much the same, because the candidates that we both choose are marginally better than their Dem alternatives. Everyone they run maps out somewhere near Los Angeles. Neither of us may think that a Dallasite or Kentuckian is perfect, but we agree he is better than an Angeleno.

Yes, I fully understand that all of that likely went right over your head.

They thought they had won and it was over. That their post-modern shite beliefs would go unquestioned for all eternity and any that dared try would be shunned and unpersomed into irrelevance. Trump winning showed that in fact not everyone holds their beliefs and was an indescribably crushing blow to their entire worldview that they cannot reconcile in their minds. That’s why they are going absolutely crazy and why medication proof depression has fallen over them.
