now we can get to the statewide stuff:
- State AG James, elected twice, running on a "get Trump" campaign
- State legislature changed the law, for one year only, so that the E. Jean Carroll case could be brought
- Hochul was elected as Lt. Gov and then as Gov. AFTER Bragg and James were re-elected; so the check on such thing the people of NY, statewide, decided against.

This is a representative republic; those are the representatives they chose. Furthermore did anyone "upstate" protest or petition the executive for a pardon or removing judge/DA?

So when a Gavin Newsome bars the state of CA from doing business with TX, was there an outcry about "allies in Austin"? How about FL? When a state tries to remove a leading candidate for a national election was there a consideration for the ones who didn't like it? Nope.
