In some ways he’s correct, as if you’re attracted to pre-pubescent children you’re a pedophile whether you’ve ever actually done anything to a child. The attraction alone makes you by definition a pedophile.

Be careful on here with your words mean something, and throwing down actual definitions. You'll catch heck from people on here for not including pubescents under the same umbrella.

But then the question is what do you do with these people? Shouldn’t we want them to come forward and get help? It seems to me that would save more kids than demanding they repress it for 80 years on their own, because humans are REALLY bad about repressing sexual urges forever.

I want to know who all the pedophiles are, it lets us help the ones who can be helped and monitor the ones who can’t.
Very altruistic concept in a vacuum, but we can't as a society monitor a jail cell (Hillary Kildepstein) much less expect "authorities" to monitor what? Tens, possibly hundreds of thousands of Pedophiles who voluntarily come out of their sick closet?

Very much so

Counseling someone who admits to you they are a pedophile is a massive legal liability in our current system

So do we start hanging the millions of sociopaths who haven’t yet hurt or killed anyone too, and most of whom never will?

minor?

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they are trying to get around the PRE-pubescent minor by including them with post-pubescent minors? big difference between little undeveloped kids and big developed kids.

sex with a pre-pubescent minor is PEDOPHILIA. sex with a post-pubescent is not pedophilia but still breaking the law because under age.

these are some sick mfers.

It doesn't seem as if he quit out of shame

ODU made a statement about something about him/her; but I can't read the small print in the image.

We need the names of every person on the committee that recommended this person be hired. We need the name of the person that made the final decision. In our review, they better have damn good reasons for hiring this person or they are paying a price. Unacceptable.

That is how it is suppose to work.

I think 16 is too young and laws need updated to all 18. RBG wanted it way younger.

Some on the left argue that RBG did not say this

quote:

Reducing the Age of Consent to 12. Ginsburg had recommended legislative changes that would reduce the age of consent for statutory rape under federal law from 16 to 12.

(The documentation for items 1 through 6 is provided here. See pages 69-71 and the specific recommendation regarding 18 U.S.C. § 2032 on page 76 for item 6.)

the next perversion will be pedos normalized

This isn't really that, though.

This is the problem of what we do with people who don't act on their urges (aka, haven't committed a crime) but have them (likely due to psychological trauma they didn't create).

Exactly. Been making this argument on here for years.

Good post as far as them needing mental health help. But don't you think the simple admiration of a child is a far stretch from wanting to molest them sexually?

There are a lot of people who want to molest children but have not and don't. Most of them were molested as children which is what created the psychological break. These discussions are what we, as a society, do with these non-offenders.

It's a gross subject but a necessary one.

yeah, that is really rolling the dice. so that means even an adult 18 and over can have sex with a minor of that age IF CONSENSUAL? wow if so.

texas has a new law where the punishment is harsher for sex with any kids under 14.
