Get this retarded “professor” the f out of here.
The one video I watched of his essentially amounted to “Iran is winning because America hasn’t hit ALL of the available targets yet”

Why are you rooting so hard for Iran and Venezuela? Seems really strange coming from a so-called conservative libertarian

Your points are valid, but every people on earth has a "breaking point" and hope is a powerful motivation.
I feel like the Persian people are pretty angry and motivated after just watching the regime slaughter 35,000 of them for protesting. In a game of numbers in a war of attrition, the commoners always have the better odds. That's something we've forgotten in America. Our founding fathers stood up against the most powerful empire on the planet, and won, after "the last straw" was something as simple as a 3% tax on tea.

There are a dozen guys like this on many of the same podcasts saying similar things. It's sort reflexive doom about the west and how Iran is going to win with rag tag tactics. They are an interesting reference point to MSM, but I think should be taken with a grain of salt as some are looking for clicks or are just China/Russia/Iran shills.
Four years later, do you trust mainstream media or Col. Douglas MacGregor about Ukraine/Russia? It's STILL up in the air IMO.

The war has been raging for 47 years! This is not a "new" war! Get with the program, Professor Jiang!

Yeah. Not a fan. "Role-Player".

True. All I'm saying is...I have noooo idea whatsoever on how motivated or convicted they are to lay it all on the line. Depends on how desperate they become for survival. Many in the US wouldn't fight either unless our bread, circuses were ripped from us.

We've totally forgotten how to be outraged enough to toss a few tables around and mean business. Theory: Women in political & corporate power have neutered us (by design.)
I am skeptical about those numbers. If 35k Americans were slaughtered like that, there'd be constant blood in the streets here. No waiting around for "deliverance" from anyone else.

They say all it took was 10% of the Colonists to go apeshit. The rest stood by as spectators.

Of course it's possible. But that's not why I posted Jaing's theories on the Iran War dynamics and his End Game speculation.
I was focused more on his analyses, scenarios and presentation.

My liberal family members love him. He’s extremely popular among the white liberal base. They are always sharing his videos. They love to say they don’t agree with a lot of what he says, but they tend to agree with a lot of what he says.

Please tell me, Miss Crabtree.
We're ALL familiar with the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act lapse that allows goobermint to continue PROPAGANDIZING us into oblivion.
When they aren't doing us dirty, Mockingbird Media is. So now what? Truth is left up to us, isn't it?

NP. I have a Black-Belt in repelling bullshite. And ALWAYS question assumptions. To a fault.

We have people who have been brainwashed into saying in public that they want kids dicks cut off.
Since Smith-Mundt Act was lifted (Schools = Goobermint) all that nonsense and indoctrination began. Reinforced by Mockingbird Complex.

Liberals? That's something. You should ask them what they don't agree with.
Apparently quite a few people are watching this guy. For some reason.

Asimov the sci-fi guy?
Dunno what 'Foundation' is about.

Yes. Its is about predictive history or Pyschohistory in the 3 books. One of the great books in SciFi. It details the predicted fall of the old galactic empire and covers centuries. Its like the thickest most dense read in fiction ever. I like the mini series better. I imagine its in the top five all time SciFi ever written.

Wow...
Truth is what is actually true, it's not up to you.
It's amazing how you are bringing "truth" into this guys speculation.
The fact that your mind has associated those words together should make you question how you have been exploited.

... No, you really don't, the fact that anyone could say that tells you that they are warped.
Someone who actually cares about truth would not think that they have any native ability to tell truth from fiction.
In this post alone you have shown that you aren't questioning your own assumptions.

Someone started a thread about Prof. Jiang on the OT earlier this week.
As I said in that thread, he can be entertaining and thought-provoking. But take him with a grain of salt.
Hmmm. Who knew?
Was the subject Iran?
quote:
After that thread, I ended up listening to a couple more of his videos this week and I definitely disagree with some of his analysis-- especially when he starts riffing on how China is not much of a threat (not surprising, though, as I think he's currently living there).
He also oversimplifies some ideas like how the asymmetrical advantage of Iran's cheap drones present a challenge... but framing it such that the US cannot defeat them due to this. I disagree.
Good read on understanding his direction...and still not seeing his vision that the "drone advantage" is a major factor in Iran supposed favor. THAT is the kind of observation and feedback I was hoping to see. He does seem to take the position (correct me if I'm wrong) that certain pieces and roles to the world puzzle might be....pre-determined?
quote:
It's absolutely a concern and may result in failure-- if combined with heavy Shia resistance and lack of support here in the US (a huge concern between the media and congress). But to simply assume the decentralized, amorphous nature of these drone threats automatically create an undefeatable force rings a bit more like anti-American propaganda (from a Chinese guy) than it does a battlefield certainty.
There ya go. Quite possible. Though also with enough truth mixed in to be plausible. EVERYTHING could be scripted as far as we know.
Now that he's on record...and you as well, it'll be interest to watch the "game" as it unfolds further.
I do admire Jiang's willingness and courage to let it all hang out right or wrong -- and let the chips fall. It also gets people thinking both ways, either way.
