From what I understand, there are still many Americans buried in North Korea who died in the Korean War. The Army buried them there, intending to retrieve them later after the war to bring back to the U.S., but that never happened once China got involved and we were pushed back.

The remains of those heroes need to be returned to the U.S. with an honor guard so they can be reinterred here with their families and loved ones.

This is important, but the war must stop before the boys come home.

Best results.
1) no nukes or missiles VERIFIED
2) reduction of tension (including KIA recovery)
3) NK joins the rational nations
4) NK plots its course separate from China

The dead are important, but preventing more deaths must be number one goal.

Finally if the bones of our boys becomes part of the negotiations, we will have to trade something. They will be returned free, when and IF NK becomes normalized.

They would be proud to serve their country and families a little while longer!

This is the first that I have heard of this and it's a great idea.

IMHO, North Korea would place conditions on this project. First, it would have to be totally funded by the US. All workers involved would be from NK. I personally don't see these two conditions as burdensome. NK is broke and would love to put some of their people to work for pay on just about anything.

All you’d get for me is a 10c pack of generic ramen noodles!

My wife might kick in a quarter!

Seeing as to how my father-in-law was a prisoner there for 38 months, if he were still alive I'm sure he would appreciate the fact that some of his lost buddies over there might be finally coming home.

I was the second downvote. Why would President Trump, or anyone else for that matter, try to throw a wrench in the peace process by flinging demands? Wait for it to play out then when relations are normalized go in and get the remains or are you just trying to sabotage all of the good work Trump's people have done.

I'd say there are slightly more pressing things for the USA to negotiate away from NK.

A Kim is at the table, willing to give in, for the first time in over 50 years. Now is not the time to burn that progress by making heavy handed demands.

I'm the 5th downvote

Repatriation of remains shouldn't be anymore difficult than it is with Vietnam.

In all honesty there will not be much to recover from wartime burials IMHO.

Let the dead rest.

Problem is Kim couldn’t give a corn filled shite about dead NKs. He’s starved thousands of them and order his relatives murdered.

Show weakness over our brave KIAs and expect real demands.

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, April 19, 2018 — He finally returned home from a deployment and wasn’t anticipating being sent anywhere else since he had just gotten back. He called his family, told them to pack because they were moving to settle down permanently someplace else. Then, he received a call informing him he was getting deployed to Korea. He would soon be listed as missing in action and never return home to his family.

U.S. Army Master Sgt. Finley James Davis was returned to his family following a Chain of Custody ceremony at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, April 16, 2018. Davis’ great-grandson, U.S. Army Spc. Zachary Boney, traveled to DPAA to receive the remains of his great-grandfather and escort him home to his final resting place.

Davis was listed as missing in action in late 1950. He served in Delta Company, 2nd Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division when he was captured and became a prisoner of war in Kunu-ri, Camp 5, North Korea.

That will come, with normalization of relations, as with North Vietnam. First things first, denuclearize the peninsula is the #1 priority. The rest will follow.
