Shouldn't be too hard to get this going again.
SEOUL, April 28 (UPI) -- The remains of two Americans who died in combat during the Korean War were returned along with the bones of 15 South Koreans on Thursday.
The soldiers were killed more than 60 years ago during the 1950-53 conflict, according to the Stars and Stripes.
U.S. teams excavated some of the remains as part of a now expired agreement with Pyongyang.
South Korean search teams found the two American remains in 2015 in the North Korean county of Yanggu, Kangwon Province, in Paeksok-san Mountain, local newspaper Kukmin Ilbo reported.
The location was the scene of a battle with the U.S. Ninth Infantry Division in the summer and fall of 1951.
The United States was allowed to send a team to North Korea between 2000-04 with the U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. The Americans were allowed into areas, including the eastern side of the Chosin Reservoir where intense fighting occurred.
The team collected remains that were later identified as South Korean by forensic investigators in Hawaii. LINK

The pic on that pack of Ramen is
If you're eating Ramen are you really going to have red cabbage and celery in the fridge?
Man,this probably belongs on the food board, but I love ramen noodles, and have some killer recipes.
Brown some ground pork with onions, celery and peppers, throw in a can of cream of mushroom soup,1 can of water, and 2 pakages of oriental flavor ramen.
You will think you are the emperor.

was the second downvote. Why would President Trump, or anyone else for that matter, try to throw a wrench in the peace process by flinging demands? Wait for it to play out then when relations are normalized go in and get the remains or are you just trying to sabotage all of the good work Trump's people have done.
Fair point, and you changed my mind from the initial OP.

I wonder what piece of filth downvoted this. Disgraceful.
Probably because your post was stupid. NKorea doesn't have the technical or professional capacity to do the job and N korea has in the past allowed the US to search for and recover remains just like we do in S Korea and VietNam. NKorea would fuc7 up the job.
The most we want from them is renewed and safe access.

People saying it’s throwing a wrench into the process are over thinking this IMO. Considering all of the other far more important pieces to this process, recovering remains would be ancillary and a PR win for everyone involved.
I don’t think it would be a controversial sticking point or even something that needs to be demanded. I fully expect repatriation of remains from all involved parties to be a result of the peace treaty.

The Army buried them there, intending to retrieve them later after the war to bring back to the U.S.
I'm scratching my head about this.
It is Army policy to never leave a man behind. We've lost troops while trying to recover bodies to bring them back to the rear even in the middle of combat.
I had three uncles serve in combat in Korea. None of them ever mentioned us burying troops above the 38th parallel. Matter of fact they all commented on how hard the ground was above the 38th parallel and that it was frozen solid damn near six months outta the year.
We lost some pilots up there, some assumed KIA some assumed locked away who died in POW camps up there and in China.
Is there a link anywhere referencing bodies of troops we intentionally buried there with the intent of digging them back up and either bringing them home or internment in South Korea's memorial cemetery?
I'm not saying it didn't happen, it's just that it is against Army SOP and I have never heard of this before. And I mean I've heard a lot of first hand accounts of how they handled KIA bodies and the lengths they went-to to bring soldiers bodies back to the rear .... often stacked in deuce and a halfs like frozen popsicles frozen so solid and in awkward positions they had to thaw bodies in GP mediums with yuck yuck stoves going so as to pry weapons from hands and reposition bodies to fit into body bags and coffins.

Same here. This just doesn't make sense.

The remains of those heroes need to be returned to the U.S. with an honor guard so they can be reinterred here with their families and loved ones.
They will be assuming we can normalize relations. In fact, the North Koreans have allowed recovery teams in on a limited basis previously.

My No. 1 priority is NO PILE OF CASH. If Trump does that we are right back where we started decades ago and this extortion game will continue for 100 years.

That is an absolutely UNREASONABLE request.
