There were a total of 171 participants for tonight’s official state dinner at Buckingham Palace. President Donald Trump and First-Lady Melania Trump were the formal guests of honor for Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family.

Following an extremely formal custom, after the guest greeting line and introductions of family and dignitaries, President Trump, First Lady Melania and senior dignitaries escort the royal family into the grand ballroom. The table format is a traditional u-shape allowing a head table for the queen, succession-seated royals, President Trump and the first lady.

Following tradition HRH Queen Elizabeth delivered a toast to President Donald Trump followed by the national anthem. President Trump then delivers a toast to HRH Queen Elizabeth followed by the British national anthem. The Queen’s remarks follow a drum-roll alert to engage the importance.

Head table (left to right): Duke of Cambridge, Prime Minister Theresa May, Ambassador Woody Johnson, The Duchess of Cornwall, The President of the United States of America, Queen Elizabeth II, The Prince of Wales, Mrs. Trump, The Lord Speaker, The Right Honorable Baroness Hale of Richmond, The Right Honorable Lord Mayor of London Peter Estlin, Duchess of Cambridge.

At what point does she abdicate?

If I was in my mid 90s facing the spectacle of doing stressful pomp and other large events like this, I'd rather bite a cyanide pill.

We had a hard enough time getting my 87 year old grandmother through a small and low key country wedding in the spring for my brother and sister in law.

Not a doctor but I don't believe a back cracking can fix osteoporosis.

More pics added.

My 94 year old grandmother was going strong until she broke her hip and that's what did her in. Probably would have lived to 100 with quality years if she would have never fell.

Theresa May is so frumpy.

And Kellyanne made it. I wonder if George is there?

The Queen is 93 years old. IF you make it to that venerable old age, come back and let us know how you're looking and faring.

Hasn’t the queen been queen as long as trump has been alive?

I wonder if she waits in the queue with everybody else for her “free” health care?

The Queen will NEVER abdicate. It simply isn't done by the British royals and she remembers only too well how painful the last abdication was for the family and for the country.

Today is the anniversary of the marriage of Edward, former king Edward VIII and later Duke of Windsor, to Wallis Simpson, the American divorcee for whom he abdicated.

That abdication thrust to the forefront Queen Elizabeth's father, the future king George VI. He was a very shy, introverted man who never dreamed of being king nor did he want to. He stammered badly and is the subject of the movie 'The King's Speech.' His brother's abdication traumatized him and he was only able to have a successful reign thanks to his wife Elizabeth, the former Queen Mum, the present Queen's mother. She was a very strong, loving wife and mother who supported her husband and her country through the abdication and WWII.

The present Queen is keenly aware of her duties and has always thought of country and duty first. She will only cease being queen when God says so. Charles may well have one of the shortest reigns in history, but that is not likely to be a concern of hers.

Kellyanne looked wonderful! She's walking in with one of the Queen's cousins.

Ivanka's dress doesn't impress.

Kate Middleton is a very solid OT 7.5 but looks like an absolute dog next to Melania.

They should just shut that whole place down and just have Melania make a few circles around the place so we can all gawk. The world is were to see Melania whether half of us admit it or not.

Edited to add: is that Steve Mnuchin over there flirting with Kate? LMAO I always knew that dude was poon hound. I will say Kate's dress is beautiful.

KAC looking good with her tig o's.

Jared looks like he's over there plotting a palace coup. That kid always looks like he's up to no good.

Agree with wifey that Ivanka's dress is awkward and does her no good.

Poor Prince William has needed rogaine since puberty.

Melania is stunning. And I love how everything she does rubs the libs crazy.

While this is all very impressive this is a business trip to Trump. I hope he had a little side talk with May and tells her, she she should have listened to the will of her people. And second, your replacement is gonna have to deal with a pissed off Trump for spying on his people.

Not into the fashion stuff but this seems an odd choice. Perhaps protocol demands she not appear to attempt competing with her step mother.

Still looks very classy as always.
