you would be aware that the constitution has a process defined in it for when it is no longer working
Yes I am very aware. That doesn't address the problem presented when the corrective process itself becomes unworkable.
And to refine my point perhaps discard isn't the right word. I think the term 'set aside' is more in keeping to the way it should be approached.
The problem isn't necessarily with the Constitution. I believe that it is the blueprint for one of the best governance systems yet devised. But if the humans that are in that system, or even half of them, decide that they are no longer going to adhere to that system, it all breaks down rather quickly.
Leftist Shitlibs have twisted, mangled, misinterpreted, or otherwise ignored the Constitution so badly that the system is not only close to being unworkable it's actually close to being antithetical to the country's survival.
The Declaration of Independence makes it clear that when a system becomes unworkable for the goal of surviving and thriving it is the right of the people to reform it, even by radical means if necessary.

I think he is acknowledging the constitution is being abused by the left.
That makes zero sense in explaining his comments. He swore to uphold the constitution. That should have been the easiest yes for him. Quit being swifties and creating theories to try and justify every Trump comment/decision.

Please link us to your complaints about federal judges who took the same oath actually acting unconstitutionally…. We will wait. TIA.

Then you are a complete idiot without a lick of common sense.

exactly
The same folks that say that Trump is joking about a third term, and deporting citizens to foreign prisons are the same ones defending Trump when he is unsure about his duty to uphold the constitution.
newsflash for Maga...it's not a joke with that guy. Yall are being played

So I’d say no it hasn’t worked.
quote:If him doing that shifted someone away, they weren't supporting him or MAGA in the first place.
What this is doing is shifting moderates the other way around.
quote:Again, he triggered you. Did you also think he meant that Mexico would write the US a check when 45 said "Build the wall and Mexico would pay for it"?
I have a real issue with the president being unsure of if he should uphold the constitution.
I recently bought a sawmill for home use. I told my wife that the sawmill would pay for itself. She didn't think that the sawmill would write me a check. She understood that cutting my own boards from trees on our land would save us money and eventually the savings would exceed the purchase price of the sawmill.

There it is. That’s what I thought. We can dismiss your concern about the President because you clearly don’t care about the Constitution. You’re a simpleton that knows nothing more than OMB. Just the useful idiot the left depends upon.

Lmao.....my god you can't be this stupid. Anti god? Sure....anti family? Probably.....but my god you don't appear to have an iq more than 40....zero common sense...which is a standard with you atheist nut jobs...and you are most certainly atheist

One thing they all have in common is the complete lack of a shred of common sense.

They know they are. Deep down they know.
It requires admitting you weren’t keen enough to see it from the jump.
It took me his entire first term to realize he isn’t playing chess. He is telling you what he’s going to do.
He is going to attempt to run for a 3rd term. He is going to try to deport citizens he finds unsavory.
And it’s not about the morality of doing those things. It’s about the precedents already set and the respect for the constitution, due process, and generally the way the government is supposed to function.
I do not want illegals here. I want them out of the country. I want us to be the country that we claim to be, use our resources to be fair and have trials, and also not have the White House tweet like they’re an edgy high schooler. I’d like to stop the abuse of EOs on both sides. I didn’t like it when Biden did it and I don’t like it now. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
The only reason I post things like this is so someone else who voted for this guy will wake up. I voted in 16 for him. I didn’t vote in 20 or 24 for him. Because he shouldn’t hold the office. I read maybe 10% of the replies. Typically I hit that little bell and then immediately click forums. I’ve ready probably 6-8 responses in this thread. Most responses are a lost cause. They just aren’t smart people. They don’t have the capacity to think critically.
If you are having that gnawing feeling that something isn’t right with this administration it’s because it isn’t. These people are lunatics. And a lot of people who voted for the lunatics are now too deep to admit it.

There are dozens of federal judges doing everything they can to subvert the constitution and the majority of Americans. Over 80% support deportations and at every turn some commie judge tries to stop it.

You are so stupid that youbare supporting the party that stands for the very things you say you are against...make it make sense...40 iq may be over estimating

quote:Aka, screw the Constitution. We're doing what feels right at the moment. One of 670 judge-shopped District Courts run by a corrupt, conflicted bench, blocking an entire branch of government? That's just fine, and exactly what the founders had in mind in Article 3. Two thirds of the US Senate = one district judge.
... except when it comes to authority to declare what the Constitution says, or doesnt say.
