So someone you don’t know has a different opinion than you and he’s an apologist for Hitler? Gosh you’re a weak person.

Lazarus, quit being a bitch and accept that Matthew says Jesus was born in a house, Luke says he was born in an animal feed trough in a barn or something, and per Paul and John, Jesus was a pre-existent archangel that was the firstborn of creation and became flesh and was never a baby.
No way all you guys are so stupid that you can’t even form a lucid argument rather than dreaming of us atheists burning in eternal torment. Read the Bible, idiot. I mean, Jesus f’n Christ! You people are absolutely retarded.

I’ve tried. You stopped answering when you couldn’t understand there were two different people with the same name.
You seem stable. Christ will bring peace to your heart. He’s waiting for you.
I said I hope you wake up. You only read what you want to read. Bitter little fella

And where does Matthew say how old Jesus was when the magi came?

What’s retarded is denying the role that hopeful narratives and spirituality have ALWAYS played in the lives of human societies. How well is this “all that’s real is empirical” model working out for us? While the atheistic autists were so busy being “rational,” the Sabbateans were playing them like the fools they were the whole time. Wake up son. The world is evil. It isn’t rational. And there is only one way to fix that.

Ah yes, the time “Luke” overwrote the part from “Matthew” where Jesus was born in a house. It’s the one that “John” eventually overwrote to be more in line with Paul that Jesus descended from heaven as an adult.
And why do you use quotations around the apostle names? Are you under the impression that’s what their names look like Hebrew or Aramaic?
Should we use
????????
????????????
??????
Sorry. TD doesn’t like Hebrew or Aramaic squiggles.

Hey dummy, in Matthew, why does Joseph attempt to return to Bethlehem? Perhaps because he has a house there? Or do you think he was retuning to live with the animals in that feed trough?
You think the writer of Matthew when he said now after Jesus was born, wise men came…. Think he meant to say that after Jesus was born, and many years after Joseph purchased or built a home, then the wise men came? No, in the Matthew narrative, Joseph and Mary start out living in Bethlehem and have a house there and that’s where Jesus is born. Don’t be stupid.
Was Herod in “Matthew” a king or a tetrarch? Did that king or governor also rule/govern at the same time as Quirinius? Face it, the stories don’t match up historically or make any sense.

The church in the late 100s AD gave them those fictive names. They are all anonymously written - every one of them. They are “the gospel according to Mark” but not even the church claimed that a guy named Mark wrote it, they just claimed that fictive person was the source of the whomever wrote and compiled the text. A lot of idiots on here think a bunch of illiterate Aramaic-speaking fisherman could write literary Greek to rival Homer. So when I say “Mark” I’m referring to that gospel but the air quotes is due to me signifying that there was no Mark who actually wrote it.

In Matthew, Joseph does not attempt to return to Bethlehem after leaving. The narrative presents a different journey for Joseph and his family. After the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, wise men from the east visit Herod in Jerusalem, seeking the newborn king of the Jews. Herod, feeling threatened, asks the wise men to find the child and report back to him. They find Jesus in Bethlehem, but are warned in a dream not to return to Herod, so they go back to their country by another route.

Matthew does not explicitly mention Joseph and Mary having a permanent residence or owning a house in Bethlehem prior to Jesus' birth. The details surrounding the location of Jesus' birth are more explicitly described in the Gospel of Luke.

Herod, as mentioned in the Gospel of Matthew, refers to Herod the Great, who was King of Judea. Matthew 2:1 states, "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem" (NIV). Herod the Great was a king and not a tetrarch.
You read a lot and understand a little. Always learning, but never come to the truth.
