Mar 1st. 15 days before Trump announced anything. And I quote
"Section 8. I hereby direct the Florida Department of Health to make its own determinations as to quarantine, isolation and other necessary public health interventions as permitted under Florida law."
Then a week before Trump's announcement, DeSantis issued this EO.
"All State agencies responsible for the use of State buildings and facilities may close such buildings and facilities in those portions of the State affected by this emergency, to the extent necessary to meet this emergency."
So he began the shutdown of Florida before Trump even asked
Then 2 days after Trumps presser, we get this EO:
"WHEREAS , on March 9, 2020, I issued Executive Order 20-52 declaring a state of emergency for the entire State of Florida as a result of COVID-19; which support beach closures at the discretion of local authorities."
But he never closed the beaches. Never forget, that idiot was all in on Kasich. Hes about as conservative as the Clintons are
