Voted for Johnson. Thought trump was full of shite and wouldn't be able to get anything done and I absolutely hated everything about him. Still cant stand his tweeting and his attitude but his policies are working, so unless he really fricks something up, he will have my vote in 2020.

What a great thread!! I was on the Trump Train early and as far as I'm concerned, he's the GOAT!! Reagan was a greater orator but Trump means what he says!!

That simply means your an idiot and can’t be helped, due to complete and total case of dump arse syndrome. Don’t need you on this one dog, move along

Is 8 years of winning enough or do we need to consider abolishing the 22nd Amendment?

I didn't vote for him simply because of a lot I had going on that day, I just didn't make it, and I knew in TN my vote didn't matter.

I supported Trump and continue to do so, but I was never part of the cult. I was always NeverHillary. I voted for Rubio in the primary.

I still think he's a POS on many levels, but that's largely irrelevant. Nick Saban has often been accused of being the same by rivals. Who cares?

For example, when speaking about religious matters, Trump talks like he's never been to church in his life. But unlike the Dems, he's going to protect religious freedom and the unborn. So who cares?

Yeah, I'll vote for him in 2020 if things keep headed in the right direction.

Let's pump the brakes on the Reagan analogy. Unlike Trump, Reagan never sucked Gorbachev's cock to the media, and Reagan actually won that battle. Let's wait and see if we actually have success with NK.

Reagan also never had a GOP controlled House.

Didn’t vote for him, but support him now. Still not crazy about the omnibus he passed or the huge increase in military spending, but he’s much better than anything we have had in a very long time. Putting this country first and actually doing what he said he would do earned my support.

I didn't vote for him because I knew my district and state would go red so I didn't have to worry about voting against Mega bitch. This freed me up to vote my conscious and my wishful thinking vote which is always libertarian party.

While doing all this I was quietly rooting for Trump because he was a businessman and not a career politician and had no aspirations to become a career politician, so I knew he would actually make changes and not be beholden to donors to maintain his political career.

My entire life, everybody, both left and right, have always begged for somebody to enter office that wasn't a career politician. We finally get one and half the country pitches an Epic bitch fit over it.

Yep. He has my vote in 2020. I was unsure in 2016 and voted third party. I was behind Cruz in the Primary, but would definitely NOT go that route if that option were presented again.

Didn't vote for him, but now support him.

I like that he does what he says he is going to do. I like that he doesn't give a frick. I like his economic policies. I think he really wants more money in American's(not just white) pockets.

Also, the far left's over-reaction to his term so far has been amusing, and disturbing to me, which has made me accept him even more. Hoping for someone to fail just because they aren't your choice is counter-productive, and destructive. The chemo metaphors are pretty much how I feel about him.

Didn’t vote for him. Never thought he’d win, plus I hate both Repubs and Dems.

I love his “I don’t give a frick” attitude. I love his America 1st policies. And I am even beginning to like his tweets.

He’s a pragmatist. Just what we need. We have enough butt-kissing politicians that have nearly ran this country into the ground while filling their pockets.

I’ll probably vote for him next election.

If he’d get us out of the Middle East I would even wear the damn coat.

Outside of some diehard libs I know, pretty much everyone I know echos what this thread is saying. My step-grandmother, who is a HUGE baptist, was distraught on the thought of having to vote for Trump. She prayed another option would emerge because she said her conscience would not let her vote for him. She is 100% behind him now and I got to listen to my Korean Vet grandfather give her shite about her misgivings every time I see them.
