I will probably never give you a satisfying answer so enlighten me on what he promoted. I honestly would like to learn something as it has been years since I have brushed up on Catholicism.

He didn't promote any form of government except the Kingdom of God, which is not (yet) of this earth.

Everyone's looking for the practical application of Jesus' ministry but His primary goal was to reveal the truth of salvation obtained in His sacrifice as the perfect Son of God.

The Zealots were hoping He was the promised Messiah that would become the ruler of Israel from the line of David and throw off the shackles of Rome. Jesus didn't come to sit on the throne in Israel; He came to show people His throne in Heaven.
