You can thank whoever you donated to for selling your phone number.

I mean all of la residents info was stolen.

Could also be from a million other things because I don’t donate and get texts from all over the place.

I've never donated to any candidate or PAC and I've been getting spammed non stop this cycle. I did finally start replying stop to all of them which I usually don't do with unwanted texts and that's slowed the daily rate a bit.

Not sure about phone numbers, but they have been known to sell a few votes every now & then.

That’s not always true . Atleast in Florida your phone number is public record if you add it to your contact info with the election office . We sent text for a local school board candidate and we used phone numbers from the election office and text all of the super voters who vote in all elections. I also went to a political campain class and the teacher said texting is the best way to reach people. It’s much cheaper then mailers and gives you a chance to interact with the voters .

Update your voter registration and see if you can delete your phone number . That will likely stop most if not all of the text in the future

I guarantee that’s where all mine are coming from. Never made a political donation to anyone and it all started happening when we moved and updated our voter registration and we don’t have a landline at our new house.
