Are those other cities sinking like ours? We’re not exactly built on solid rock like other cities

They don't have shoes?

In all seriousness though, we're talking a good 100 years or more and population movement over such a timeframe is gradual through remaining people dying out, people leaving for better opportunities (even if it's just going off to college and getting a non-New-Orleans job at/before graduation or moving in with family/friends elsewhere to find a job or just a change of scenery). Even without the Climate Change Boogeyman, if the population of New Orleans continues at the rate it has been for the last decade/decade-and-a-half, the city could have a population of less than 200k by 2126.

If the flooding fear porn is true, then the increase in the amount and severity of flooding would push even more people out during that timeframe.

If it comes right down to it, they'll walk, bike or boat out if things get bad enough.

The UAP Aliens will fix this. A walk in the park for their high tech level. The demand for envy-based economic DEI from sociopathic individuals who view low paying work as a form of systemic slavery won’t be as easy to finesse.

It’s always something.

They still have some good years left. It says generations so that may be 100 years. After that they could be like Venice Italy. It will be great…..

I think I read this same article/study in a National Geographic issue back in the mid 80's.
