Stephen Foster, known as "The Father of American Music," has a statue in Pittsburgh that being threatened with removal because of its depiction of a barefoot slave playing a banjo.
Foster wrote over 200 songs, including the American classics, "Oh! Susanna", "Camptown Races" and "Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair" amongst many other memorable masterpieces.
This is the statue that has the left all riled up:
Citizen comment:
"Not only does it depict a white man in a dominant, oppressive posture over a black man portrayed as a slave submissively playing a banjo at his feet, but it boldly represents the same white man unabashedly claiming the black man's work on his own."

This country has lost its damned mind.

Yeah...that's exactly what is happening in the music industry today. Unless P. Diddy has slaves and Eminem was Dr. Dre's slave.

Can't they just remove the shoeless banjo player? Problem sloved. Then it's just a statue of a white man nobody has heard of.

Actually Nick has capitalized on the white man named Mark Emmert.

How do we know that black guy was a slave? Does it say that on the statue somewhere? Just tell people he was his gay lover. Lefties will eat that shite up.
