When can we quit talking about Eric Gardner, Freddy Gray, and med student Michael Brown? Those cases never seem to be old news.

They just murdered him. That’s insane. He went straight down. At no point did he raise the weapon. Left hand was well into the air.

If police are going to be jumpy, just send in a robot.

What did Lebron have to say about it? Or Kaepernick?

Didn't see Don Lemon cover it. Dave Chappelle didn't mention it during his comedy shows either.

I don't think Trevor Noah uploaded a video from his mansion about it. Did Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton weigh in on it?

Who opens the door with a gun drawn?

Are peepholes a thing only for the super-rich?

Questions from a fellow Arizonan with plenty of firearms...

ETA: ah, cops moved to the side so peephole wouldn’t work.

I'd say a guy hiding a gun would be a reasonable threat.

Define this please.

If a jury of the officers peers believe the officer was reasonably afraid of losing his life, him pulling the trigger is legal.

If I am reasonably in fear of my life, then I can kill a cop then. Laws apply to everyone, right? If a cop can murder someone and get away with it, then I have a reasonable justification to fear for my life when they come to my door at night. Hell, cops have just shot into a house before just because they were scared and trigger happy even though there was no threat. If they aren't going to be held accountable for their actions, then any reasonable person can be fearful for his life when a cop shows up.

Answering the door with a weapon is not illegal. He didn't raise his weapon at the police. He was in the doorway three feet from the officer. They could have easily tackled him. They didn't even ask him to put down the weapon. They just immediately shot him without provocation.

They shot him in the back. How threatening is a guy not even facing you? Did the cop think he was gonna try to shoot him without looking?

This is an incompetent cop at the least and a power hungry thug with a badge at the worst. He should be punished. If he is that fricking scared and quick with a trigger, he should have never been given a badge and a gun.

frick this cop and the people defending him. Police reform is needed and this is an obvious example. Innocent people that do not fight with police should not be killed by police. If someone has the legal authority to kill someone and take away their freedom, then they must be held to a high standard.

This is the shite people need to be protesting instead of the career criminals. This kid and Daniel Shaver were straight up murdered, unlike all the blm heroes.

Cops stand down and let antifa thugs murder people and burn everything in sight. But a law abiding citizen gets murdered by cops and there are no repercussions. Cops need to be held liable for their actions and inactions.

Yep looks to me like they f*cked pretty badly. They asked for hands, they got hands as well as guy immediately going down to the deck. More specifically they got the one free hand while guy was putting gun down on the floor. And in no way is it reasonable in any universe to perceive that guy was in any sort of shooting posture, to the contrary he was demonstrating the complete opposite.

Speaking of walking, neighbor needs to be made to not be able to walk again.
