redistricting Jim Clyburn's district and the other black district.

quote:

Definition of Sine Die
Sine die is a term used to describe the adjournment of a legislative body without setting a date to reconvene. In South Carolina, this signifies that the legislature has completed its business for the session, allowing lawmakers to return home.

Legislative Context
Timing: Sine die adjournment typically occurs at the end of the legislative session.
Implications: When the legislature adjourns sine die, all active bills that have not been enacted generally die. These bills would need to be reintroduced in the next session if they are to be considered again.
Recent Developments
The South Carolina General Assembly is scheduled to adjourn sine die on May 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
This adjournment will mark the end of the 2025-2026 legislative session, during which lawmakers will have addressed various legislative matters.

SC has always been a state that lets others jump out there first on any given topic. We’ll see how they play it.

Clyburn needs to go.

If his district is unconstitutional, how can any rep from that unconstitutional district be sworn in as a rep for a constitutional body?

Except for that one time in the mid 1800s.

Rep. Pace said their senators don’t like to be told what to do and they wake up every morning looking in the mirror thinking they are looking at the next governor of SC.

It would take a relatively long time to prove his district was drawn in an unconstitutional manner
Best to just redistrict before the 14th

Clyburn controls the AME Church as it pertains to the AME’s involvement in elections. This is a highly partisan organization.

I can’t speak for S Carolina… but they were deeply complicit in the Georgia election integrity violations in 2020.
