I actually don’t support an outright ban either. I just wish that the law would acknowledge that life begins at conception, because in my mind, it would provide more reverence towards the decision about what point in a pregnancy and under which circumstances that taking another’s life is justified.

We recognize a few other situations where taking another’s life is justified: self defense, defense of another, lack of intent to harm and/or lack of negligence, death penalty, and wars. I see abortion as no different.

Setting a time frame for decision to me- seems to make the most sense. It’s nothing I could ever do, and I have a serious moral problem with it. But then again, I have a moral problem with adultery too- and it’s not illegal.

Plus I think all these “exceptions” proposed are just an attempt by proabortion people so they can pretend they are concerned about women’s welfare and rationalize away taking the life of another person. How in the world are you going to prove you were raped in time that the baby is born before you’ve figured it out? Also, as I learned during the Governor Blackface debacle, there is no difference btwn late term abortion and full term delivery. Either way, the lady goes into labor. So I cannot see what “life of the mother” medical reason would ever justify one. The longer a pregnancy goes, the more dangerous to the woman and barbaric abortion is. It amounts to legally sanctioned murder or eugenics.

People like BamaAtl, and this abortion woman on CNN will not acknowledge that life begins at conception, because that would force them to recognize their rationalizing murder. It’s cognitive dissonance dressed up as a political view.

Unlike BamaAtl who can’t even acknowledge reality and probably has no idea what gender he/she is, I’m a woman so to me - if it were me or my baby, I’m picking my baby- so the whole “life of the mother” argument makes no sense to me. I see carrying a baby as my basic biological function. And plus, because I am in fact a human being with a soul, a conscience and empathy- I see baby as a baby.

To be clear: You maintain that UNTIL A BABY IS COMPLETELY CLEAR OF THE BIRTH CANAL and outside the Mothers' body, it is NOT a human being?
