Now I assume that she's going to push some pork filled package through so she can blame the Republicans when it doesn't get through the Senate, but its interesting that they are working on something.

Didn't the previous bill that was voted down include $1.5B for a new FBI headquarters facility??

Republicans screwed up last week by preenting a bill without the $1200 stimulus check. Now Pelosi can do a simple bill including a stimulus check and Dems look like heros right before the election. My guess is the bill they present will have very little pork in it because the Republicans gave Dems a win and they didnt even have to fight for it.

This....Turtle and the other GOP goofballs handed her a political win on a silver platter. Now she can come back with a bill that comes in around 1.5 tril and contains the stimulus check and the GOP will have no choice but to pass it if they want to have any chance in Nov....and that still give Pelosi the win.

Turtle got duped on this one.....the roles would have been reversed if he would have put the checks in his bill.

She can read the tea leaves. She knows what is about to happen. Come inauguration Day for Trump's second term and the down vote that is carried with him.....Nancy gets her dirty gavel shoved up her butt.

Although I understand your point, there is 0% chance this happens.

They will go at each other in the media until about Sept 29th and then agree on a deal that includes stimulus checks so both sides can attempt to save face going into the election.

That would be an odd move for the Biden camp....they should just propose a bill that the Rs will pass now with the checks in it....that way Biden could say that the Ds got checks to the Americans not Trump....I'm sure that is what they are trying to do....now whether they can get all the halfwit Ds on the same page is a whole other story.

ETA Honestly Trump and Mnuchin have been trying to do this since early August....but the damn Rs are too stupid to see it.

Republicans in general want the economy opened free and clear and no new stimulus and so do I but the democrats won’t allow that so another stimulus package is the only thing to do. I’m convinced if Biden wins then this virus magically goes away in about 3 months time.

You realize when she negotiated from 3 trillion to 2 and then bitched the GOP would not match her, what she did? She had a three year deal and just cut the last year off of it.

What a twit, she didnt cut anything out just shortened the timeline knowing she could come back and extend it.

That's great and I'm not sure I'm not in that boat myself....but the greater consensus of the voting population says they need more stimulus. It has been echoed by Trump and even Rs that are in vulnerable positions.

With all that said with where we are the Rs should have gotten it done a long time ago and notched it as a political victory on the road to November...now they are in very real jeopardy of allowing the Ds to claim that political win.

I'm not so sure I disagree with this....I think that as time goes on after the election if it is Biden we will start to hear of the incredibly low importance of testing, the incredible survivability rate of COVID, the inability of COVID to live on surfaces for long at all, etc....many of the things that science has showed us already that are being pushed under the rug by Ds and the MSM.

We better have a decently tested and proven vaccine before that maze of stays and appeals gets worked out.
