quote:

Speaker Paul Ryan thinks it's possible there are some Harvey Weinstein-type characters in Congress and he said that, if there are, they need to be exposed.

Ryan said in an interview on "KasieDC" on MSNBC the allegations against Weinstein are "horrendous" but it's not hard to imagine something similar happening in Congress.

"It would be naive to suggest that doesn't happen. And I do believe exposing these things can help improve the culture.

"In any institution, wherever you look in society, you're going to have these kinds of problems. The more you can expose it and the more we can castigate people in society on these things to show that this is not acceptable behavior, that's to the good."

If they are a Republican they would have been exposed by now like Bob Packwood and run out.

If they were a Dem, they would be writing books joking about performing a “waitress sandwich” like Ted Kennedy and his buddy, which I believe was Chris Dodd.

Or, he can just expose it to avoid the charge that he is implicitly enabling it.

I'm sure there are plenty of more Dennis Hastert figures on the hill.

If he is clearly found to be involved, he should be prosecuted...

Things should become clearer in time. We will see...

---

edit to clarify

I will remind you of the following (as it informs what is going on):

1. Charges against Assange

Isn't Assange accused of being a pedophile?

WikiLeaks

quote:

Background and Documents on Attempts to Frame Assange as a Pedophile and Russian spy

18 October 2016

quote:

Earlier today the website DailyKos reported on a smear campaign plot to falsely accuse Julian Assange of pedophilia.

Here is the description of the plot from Mr Assange’s legal team, the investigative report into the front company and associated correspondence. An unknown entity posing as an internet dating agency prepared an elaborate plot to falsely claim that Julian Assange received US$1 million from the Russian government and a second plot to frame him sexually molesting an eight year old girl.

quote:

Sep 19, hannah@toddandclare.com email with elaborate bonafides, proposed agreement and the claim that the source of the US$1 million is the Russian government. The email states that T&C was approached by Russian representatives in May 2016 and that "The source of the $1,000,000 is the Russian government". The email then goes on to "verify" bonafides by giving a detailed description of the interior of the house and desk of Mr Assange’s lawyer, Helena Kennedy, who is a member of the UK Parliament, including a reference to a photo of Tony Blair (Kennedy states that the Blair reference is accurate, although out-of-date).

The web was being weaved for some time...

Assange claims he was framed (which as I have posted extensively is consistent with the preferred manner of control/blackmail by the deep state...)

The tactic is used because it is extremely effective at discrediting someone labeled as such. Again, project your vices onto your opponents (it is diabolically brilliant)

2. Trump and Epstein

quote:

Epstein

My thread on trump/Epstein “relationship”

Will see

If Trump is “part” of this behavior, he needs to be prosecuted

I again have my doubts due to:

-the info presented in thread above (Epstein abused an underage Trump employee...)
-the massive pushback Trump has received (including from the now maligned Hollywood)
-the relative silence from the media regarding this (given pussy grabbing, Russia, etc) and the fact they did not play this card...
-some like to project their vices onto others (smearing their opponent and “distancing” themselves from scrutinity)

That said, we will see...
