As posted in another thread today, my daughter was diagnosed early this week at an urgent care facility. They gave her nothing at all, nothing. Didn’t ask if she was vaxed either. Told her to distance and do whatever she felt able to do ie keep going to the beach, drink fluids and get rest.

Baby girl had pretty obvious signs of Croup at 12:30 (she had it before). Go to the ER. Checked in through triage, she’s been happy because she’s always a happy girl, and she doesn’t sound like croup. Hour later get back. Breathing treatment that did nothing (albuterol). Tell doctors and nurses she sounds the same (a little croupy, but she’s still happy, so they don’t hear it). They go to discharge us.
A literal hour goes by. We both fell asleep. Wake up, not a soul in sight. Finally wave someone down, they get our nurse, they come in “Oh, she sounds like she has croup.” Second breathing treatment that has the little girl panicked and screaming, but works.
Finished, she sounds great and crashes on the bed. Wait ten minutes (when they said they’d be back) and again I have to go find someone.
I think hospitals are overcrowded. That’s because they lose people and no one ever gets checked out of the system.

Just to clarify, you're talking about the same vaccines that were developed under Operation Warp Speed, which was spearheaded by Trump? The same vaccines that multiple dems (including our illustrious VP) stated they would never take, that are now being considered to be legally mandated by the current administration?

I saw my doctor Tuesday morning for a confirmation test after testing positive Monday night with a rapid test. They didn’t give me any advice or suggestions other than calling and saying I was positive.
We’re my case any milder, I’d be asymptomatic though. My 4 year old and 6 year old have been battling 100-102.5 fever though. Hasn’t slowed them down much and it’s controllable with children’s ibuprofen.

Here is GA hospital bed utilization through Friday 7/30.
The first graph is for ALL beds (ICU, General patient, ICU). The light blue area are beds that are NOT being used. They are available.
The orange area is for COVID beds being used.
The green area is for all NON-COVID beds being used.
Gives a pretty good perspective.

I have a good friend who’s a NP at an urgent care clinic in BR and they are slammed from open to close right now. She said the patients are saying their primary’s won’t see them. Are straight telling them to either go to urgent care or the ER.

Yep. Just like any other business model, without customers, you go broke and close the doors. Can't make money with expensive ICU equipment and beds sitting empty.
A lot of people just can't seem to grasp this concept.

My PERSONAL knowledge, not secondhand: my son got the test at our family doctor's office--rapid test they come out to the car and swab you, you don't even go inside. It was positive. They called with the results and offered no meds, no advice.
My 91 year old stepfather, different state, got tested and was positive and was quite sick. They told him "go to the ER if you have trouble breathing" That's it!!! 91 years old, with multiple health issues. And he survived!! And my mom who cared for him, not wearing a mask, not vaccinated (wasn't available yet) did not get sick.
