Blood is spilled every day in inner cities with mostly illegal guns. Where is the outcry for more police in bad areas, stop and frisk, tougher sentencing, etc?

Yes, and Republicans working with the NRA have made it impossible for the ATF to do it's job by cutting it's budget and now allowing it to track illegal guns.
Guns are not the entire problem to our country's violence, but they are a major part of it. Until you address that, none of it matters.

The sad part of all this is that most of these kids are being used as political mouth pieces by their parents, family, politicians, etc. I have no doubt that some of these kids truly feel this way, but some of them are inevitably being exploited and used to further an agenda.

let's have the real discussion then. Stop pussyfooting around. Anyone that thinks banning "assault weapons" or "assault rifles" is going to really change anything is either being intentionally dishonest or is completely ignorant.
The only discussion worth having would banning all firearms and fully confiscating them. Stop trying to hide full intent by this "common sense" verbiage. The gun control advocates are either just politically posturing off of the death of people to win votes by this "common sense" verbiage (highly likely), or they are just masking their real goal of confiscating all guns.
Either way, we have the 2nd amendment. Stop talking big and just try and change it. It won't have the outcome the libs expect (things never do), but there is no use trying to hide behind their true intentions.
