I'm going to guess Gorsuch. This is his baby.

Will Robert's be able to split the baby again?

That depends on the precedents at issue and how hard the majority goes after them.

I think it’s coming. This court has been swinging a big dick with these rulings and honestly seems hell bent on raining in the federal government. The momentum is definitely there

Will this affect our oil production or nah

It probably will. Lifting the red tape on LNG facilities and refineries at the very least.
Plus on a different note…
Maybe Entergy won’t have to waist money investing in solar.

the court observers have come to the conclusion it looks likely CJJR will write the Court's EPA opinion

Also it’s interesting how something so substantial is being decided on NOW after decades of federal regulations being enacted

The timing is certainly appearing to have divine providence, isn't it?

5-4 is still a win, if it comes down to it.

frick 'em. We're long since overdue to drown this particular monstrosity in the river.

Roberts will find a way to turn a victory into nothing of consequence.

if Roberts is writing it... it likely means it's 6-3 along ideological lines in favor of West Virginia

or Roberts flipped someone (Kav?) and it's 5-4 in favor if the EPA

think this potential ruling is more important than Dobbs ever could be. Reining in unelected bureaucrats is paramount in sending power back to the people, and it forces Congress to do their damn job.

This. You can’t let unelected bureaucrats hired by executive branch agencies make rules.

Congress is the legislative branch. They make the rules.

President, his cabinet, and the agencies are all under the executive branch. The execute the laws written and passed by Congress. Judicial branch interprets the laws when conflict arises, or to determine if they are constitutional. It’s really that simple and we have made it complicated. And it hurts our economy because every 4 years regulations are radically changed by EO depending on who is elected president. It leads to uncertainty.

Do it the way it’s intended, and you have a lot more economic stability and reasonable regulations. Congress passes regulations and the agencies are there to enforce them. That’s it

What’s the SCOTUS geek’s tea leaf reading on which way this will go?

Somebody teach me....if they rule in favor of W Virginia, the 3 letter agencies are neutered of their power. Does this also effect their financial support/funding from the government?
