Good thing I'm not arguing with you. Educating you is my pleasure.
You're not educating shite. You're forming your own worldview with inaccurate facts, and then when presented with the truth in crayon so that you can understand it, you shift to more nonsense.

Its fine, Red is catching on. We made progress.

But yes, every single political campaign will have some elements of appealing to the little guy held down by the elites. That's in our American DNA.
So what you’re saying is populism doesn’t really mean anything, it’s just a descriptor to put a negative connotation on the democratic process that results in something someone doesn’t want.

Then point one out. Where is a democracy?

No, I didn't say that.

I didn't say that either, in fact I said the opposite. A populist movement may very well result in a lot of conservative things that I want. Or it could be more of the BLM flavor; that's the point.

Bondi needs to STFU and find a new cause. She screwed this one up.

Oh, so it’s just democracy.
After all these pages I finally understand. Populism and democracy are the exact same thing

Bondi gets an F to this point. Never should’ve teased it.

If you're politically ignorant.
It's not like the term was created here or recently. People didn't make it up just to talk shite about Trump. You're trying to use the same strategy SFP does with lawfare; just attempt to invalidate the term because you don't like the way it's being used.

I am now starting to realize nothing will change- Democrats will never get arrested or charged!

I know exactly when and why the term was created, I’m just saying the term is retarded because at its root it means nothing. It’s a term that is used to obfuscate and paint a different picture than what it really is.
Democracy: positive sentiment
Populism: negative sentiment
They mean the same thing. If the threat of the commoner being manipulated to swing elections was such a danger, they wouldn’t be given the right to vote.
But then it wouldn’t be a democracy.

Most of the world disagrees. They sorta treat it like it's a real concept.

Most of the world thinks it’s extremely politically useful to be able to coin movements that exist wholly within their own existing government infrastructure as something “other”, to draw emotional reactions by painting an image in the people’s minds that it’s related to mid 20th century fascism
That is how the term is used, almost every time
Otherwise what does it mean? That someone is trying to appeal to the common people? What would be the other option when running for public office? Running for the interests of the elites? No one does that (openly).
How is it possible to make a distinction from running for the interests of the common people, who cast the vast majority of votes, from the ideal of democracy?

Youre not qualified to address that content.
In fact you cant tell me why you think it was wrong.

Electing them is one thing, but we keep re-electing them despite their dismal approval rating.
Thats why they dont do the "will of the people" because we vote for the partyfirst.

What populism is really about
quote:
“Populism” was one of the big buzzwords of this election cycle. It was largely attached to the presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, with both candidates referred to as “populists” despite having distinctly different political philosophies. Still, they both used the approach – with success – to tap into the deep dissatisfaction of the average American voter. For Donald Trump, populism has paid off well: In a shock to the political establishment, Trump has ridden populism straight to the White House.
quote:
The problems created by government meddling cannot be cured with more government meddling. Cause and effect have yet to be overturned. Nevertheless, more intervention seems to be the only item on the menu, no matter which party happens to hold the reins of power. The option of peeling government away from our lives is rarely presented to the American public beyond some occasional, and insincere, campaign rhetoric.
