What you guys seem to be willfully blind to is how much Trump energizes the opposition. It's been stated repeatedly but it still hasn't sunk in is that people come out to vote against Trump. No one voted for Biden because they liked or had confidence in Joe Biden it was a referendum on Trump. People didn't vote for Biden they voted against Trump and Trump is not overwhelmingly popular in the U.S.
I know that is a mind blowing concept for you but it's a fact.

Yes, he still is. Just because you don’t WANT him to be, doesn’t make it any less true. You can keep repeating this, but it’s simply not true.

Dude, wake up. That was almost 50 years ago. No one since then that lost a primary in the GOP ever went on to become president
NO ONE
Times have changed. You also had a guy since then who never held political office, run and win the presidency.
If Ron runs in '24, hes done politically. Trump will run 3rd party (as he should), and then will pour money into Scott and Rubios campaigns to keep Ron from ever trying to even be a Senator. He ends up being another Jeb Bush for the rest of his life. Heard from him lately? He hasnt been governor of Fla for 16 years, and has done nothing since. Same thing will happen to Ron
People abandon losers, like you keep saying about Trump. Except for one little fact: Trump has won the presidency, and likely won the 2nd time, if certain states had followed the rules on mail-in ballots

What he said is accurate; Trump energizes his base AND the people who hate him. We're a 50-50 country his high negatives hurt his chances.
That has nothing to do with what I WANT to be true. I wish he was wildly popular and could sleepwalk to a win, then we get DeSantis. But I don't think that's likely at all.

That's why I think Ron is the better candidate. Nearly every woman in my family and that I work with has insane TDS. Yeah, my family is liberal, but my position in their feelings are similar to a lot of American suburbia. Yes, The View and MSM would try to paint Ron as a nazi, but I just don't think it will work as well as with Trump since Ron has a lot more tact and polish.
But, GumboPot makes a good point about the rust belt baws. Ron would not carry those guys like Trump did.

It might be the case.
But 4 more years of Democrat rule (which is 100% what will happen, Trump cannot win) could go 1 of 2 ways: either the country is so damaged and corrupt that is beyond saving and another R will never win again, or any R wins in a landslide because of the damage they have done

Thanks to the Mockingbird Media and their "Daddy" Deep State.
Might be true...*but* ALL alleged "outrage" of Donald Trump has been 100% manufactured BS(see above.)
Hollywood, the Elites, and the rest of the phonies and hive-mind lemmings LOVED them some Donald Trump UNTIL he ran for President and won.

If you think the elections are rigged then they were rigged against Trump and he lost.
If you don't think they were rigged against Trump then you know Trump lost to feeble Joe Biden.
Not sure there is a strong case to vote for Trump again and expect different results.

Other than "mean tweets" I still don't think Trump-Haters can articulate any legit reasons for actually "hating"the guy.

Do you think this says something positive about Trump, or anybody who would support it?

The plant baws in the Midwest and South who are Uber loyal to Trump will fall in line and vote for DeSantis
The suburban on the fence voters hate Trump but could be convinced to vote for DeSantis. It's these people you need to convince not the hardcore MAGA types. They don't move the needle in the general but the primary is a different matter perhaps

(R)s have already won several elections in "Landslides (only to have those elections "re-calibrated" so (D) zombies and cut-outs "won" them.
Let's face it; Example "A" is already proven without a shred of doubt -- NOT ONLY in the Presidential Election, but in several Senate-Congress-Governor D vs R elections (ex: Lake (AZ), Fetterman (PA), etal.)
Pending major calibration(s), the Deep State-Globalist run apparatus will NEVER again yield power back to The People.

Why should trump run 3rd party if he can’t beat desantis? Also, if desantis beat trump in primary who cares where trump poured money? Do would be dead politically at that point.

If Trump wins the nomination I'm just hoping that ballot harvesting initiative's in certain states can put him over the top.
GA is winnable, but Metro Atlanta has a lot of suburban women that were Biden voters last time that hopefully flip or don't vote in 2024. The difference in GA was 11,779 in 2020.
AZ has high potential...difference of 10,457 in 2020.
WI is a target...difference of 20,682 in 2020.
NV has is a target...difference of 33,596 in 2020.
With those four states he wins (275 EVs). Those are the states Trump or whoever the GOP nominee is needs to focus on in the general.

You're correct, the hate is largely manufactured and emotions based. But it's still real.

I agree with that as well. The people who vote D, will continue to do so, regardless of the R candidate. Many of them cannot and will not be swayed. Compound that with their ground game, and it’s going to be an uphill fight for ANY R candidate.

True.
But then again, the Big Picture is more disturbing...
Until, unless Election processes are truly honest, free and legit, it remains pure delusion & wishful thinking to believe any independent, principled, non-compromised (R) President OR Legislator will ever again *be allowed* to win any major election/office going forward.
The Globalists' PTB now control ALL national elections (even Brazil's Election was also rigged; their "Trump" also won -- only to officially "lose.")
Davos has decided to pull the plug on all national sovereignty.
