I actually don’t think people start drinking problems or opioids to have fun. I think it’s more to feel numb.

Social tradeoff. Many people arent fit to work in cubicles and stare at computers all day, or work for others.. Its an escape, self medication.

You’re also reachable almost all day. If you’re already logging off for the day late and the emails keep coming and you have a compulsion to check them, that pushes you to substances to turn your brain off.

Yep, our work culture drives much drug usage, no doubt. So does child abuse, which is prevalent in people who abuse.

PLTR is down in Pre-Market $17 per share

As of today, it is STILL up 11 points from one month ago. And it WILL continue to go up. Buy the dips if you are smart and sell the highs. There is no dividend to worry about, so you can take advantage of this "volatile" stock that reacts on emotion, just like TSLA.

I doubt it. Venezuela has massive oil reserves, but it is crap oil. It is extra-heavy and has a high sulfur content, making it difficult and expensive to refine. Their oil infrastructure is a mess since Chevez sized power and kicked out the oil companies. With global oil supplies trending to oversupply, and billions needed to get Venezuela producing efficiently, it would a massive mistake to go in there for oil.

The US has several refineries capable of handling VZ crude. They were refining it just fine before the latest round of bans/tariffs/sanctions.
