Children are a bit different than women.
Personally I think beatings only come from stupid parents. My parents got extremely creative on my punishments, like having me get up at 4:00 in the morning to do yard work and then having me jog around the neighborhood at 6:00 AM while they rode in the golf cart. My parents never beat me, but I wish they did over that shite.

All ideologies are worthy of consideration and their merits are based on their specific tenants. Islam is terrible because of what it teaches, not because of what it is.

People who can't get their children to behave without spanking or beating them are pretty much a failure as a parent. Not the worst failure. But a failure nevertheless

This is only done in the name of love and god. The women know that their husbands and allah love them every time they get hit. Its a lovely rule they have instituted although I'm strictly opposed to the way they show affection to their wives.
