Paid leave

My wife(no pics) has a woman in her 30’s that works for her. She has been out on FMLA/paid leave(whatever they call it) for 3 months now because, and I quote…she can’t think. Only at work. Crazy coincidence right? We were talking about her one night and I asked if she can’t think, how TF can she do literally anything? Absolutely crazy. HR and lazy people strike again.

FMLA isn't paid. Maternity/paternity leave is.
And HR isn't to blame here. They merely enact the policies from management.

FMLA is only good for 12 weeks. Time for her, your wife, to make a decision.

Guaranteed she is a Democrat.

Co-worker of my wife got 3 months of paid leave when his wife had a baby. He can use it however he chooses, so he will work only 2-3 days/wk until the 90 days is used up. Nice gig indeed. ($38T in debt, $2T deficit this year)

We are not 2 trillion in deficit this year. We are 954 billion in this year. 11% lower than this same time last year.

its the law that she can take 12 weeks of unpaid leave.
If she doesn't return after that, depending on the company's policy, they could probably fire her and go after her for those wages.

I dont think we will reach 2 trillion but we will see. What most people dont realize is the majority of our debt is owed to the American people. At some point social security and medicare are going to go away. The whole reason for 401ks was to ditch social security but they have stole from it so much that politicians destroyed it. Just more proof that we shouldnt trust the government to handle something that should be privatized.

You can replace ‘something’ with anything. But at least that got that $3 penalty out of me for not having enough withheld out of my (sic) earnings this year.

She’s getting paid. I’m in construction and don’t know what my wife’s company is calling it. She’s been out for more than 3 months and they’re treating it as mental-health related. But I’m more talking about the fact she actually said “she can’t think” and that’s a reasonable enough excuse to not work.

Last week we did a hospice intake meeting for my dad’s wife. The nurse doing it mentioned I could take FMLA to help my dad’s wife and I was shocked.
I wouldn’t do it but I may work remotely some to help out. Of course, I’m old school enough to be surprised when guys take fmla for a kid.
