Everybody is not going to be able to build back, so the govt will put the 4 plexes next door to you.

Don't get too giddy over this. IF this miraculously manages to get approved, the greedy Los Angeles politicians will just give out these low income units to friends and family. They did it with the San Francisco Presidio when the military moved out due to being slated for base closure. There are sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge. Only friends and families of San Francisco politicians were awarded those low rent units.

However this shakes out, some local politicians and their family/friends will profit from it.

You own the land and lost your building to a fire. You get to build back what ever it was previously zoned for. This government shite isn't that difficult. Damn I hate this overlord crap.

Elections have consequences. Having said that, a friend had her house burned down, and looters breaking into and looting the lone remaining closet that somehow didn't burn. She said everyone voted blue for years(no shite) but said everyone she knew would only vote red going forward. A little too late I'm afraid.

The fire negligence and lack of water makes complete sense.

This was intentional.

And people need to be held accountable.

It’s simple. Home ownership has been under assault by two groups. One is hedge fund groups buying up houses to rent out. The other are leftists who think we should live (crammed in together) in poor apartment buildings.

Oregon has shut down the building of single family housing. All it takes is a few leftists on your planning commission to stop subdivisions from happening. People need to wake up.

No worries, they'll pay you what they determine to be fair market value.
