When you are running for the nomination of a very leftist Democratic party, that relies on minorities for its "unshakable" base, this is no bueno.

He sounded horrible and racist
Why?

Objective fact:
Crime happens disproportionately in minority neighborhoods.

Reasoned Response:
Put a disproportionate number of cops in those neighborhoods.

Sure, we went a bit overboard describing the frisk as throwing the person against a wall. Stop and Frisk is Constitutionally-problematic, but not inherently racist.

What he said was true, however him saying is going to melt some snowflakes who can't handle the truth. No doubt, this will hurt him in the African American community, the same one Trump is working so hard to get votes from. Trump tweeting it was a smart move. If twitter took it down, people will still hear it, and all they accomplished is pissing people off. If Trump deleted it, then that would be brilliant because now we are wondering if twitter deleted it. Which means more people will go to youtube to find it. Not sure if he really plans these things out, but he sure does have a history of coming out on top.

He is right, but you cannot say anything remotely negative about blacks without being labeled a racist. Houston is mostly white and Hispanic, yet the nightly news is still full of crimes committed by blacks.

Hank is right on this one.

Here are more facts:

If Trump had said this same thing, everyone in here would say facts can't be racist. And Hank would be saying how it's not the words he said, it's the context he uses to make him sound racist.

I don't think most here are arguing that Bloomberg is racist. It's that this kind of language can't survive in the Democratic party of today. I doubt Trump thinks Bloomberg is a racist, but folks like Shaun King are going to run with this big time and that's all that matters to torpedo Bloomberg.

I get all that and agree, but the tone of this thread would still be exactly as I described in my hypothetical. The only difference is the board leftists would be more present, egging on the defense.

You're downvoted reflexively despite being correct. Had a republican said this and another poster posted what you did, it would get a majority upvotes.

Funny how every major network new personality can call Donald Trump a racist with impunity but God forbid Trump calling out racists.

All of this is true

However you are leaving out the emotion factor of what can and can't be said. Society has become so frail with their emotions that we have to have a participation trophy and facts don't allow for those.

I am sure the current America will say it's racist to say what he said...

but what he was trying to articulate is mostly true.

why is true? Broken families, a lack of fatherhood in children's lives..

left to figure out life on their own, teens will get into a ton of trouble..

it's the profile

the exact profiling that has Colin Kap up at night...

but he thinks Cops are the problem, and that's where it all falls apart

It's not racist in the conservative world but it's racist in the Democrat and media world so it's racist.

No.. I have said repeatedly that I do not believe Trump is any more racist than the average White guy from NYC.

If Trump had said the same thing as Bloomberg, my analysis would be no different.

The response is nothing more than “outrage culture,” and I WILL criticize Trump for. participating in it.
