If the USPO is a quasi-governmental entity that is in existence to perform a service and cover it's costs then I can see Trump's point in that Amazon uses the Post Office as a tax payer funded delivery system. Given Amazon's valuation and given the volume that Amazon ships, Trump's beef doesn't seem unreasonable and perhaps Amazon should pay more to utilize the postage system.
I don't how much the Bezos Post and their incessant drubbing of Trump played a part in this but it no doubt didn't help and probably got Trump focused on the issue.
