Yep. Told my wife this as soon as she was fired and media stated she was drug out kicking and screaming. The bait is tasty, hook is shiny, and the left will swallow it deep.

I don't think there's anyway to spin it that it doesn't look bad that he hired her and brought her to the WH. Anyone who watched the first season of The Apprentice could have predicted this weird outcome.

Right or wrong, he did what ALL people are forced to do...hire people simply to satisfy the public perception, not because of their skills being better than others.

I would say it was more just a calculated gamble that he could trust someone (who he seemed to be able to trust before) not to look a gift horse in the mouth and just play along.
Sometimes calculated gambles don't work, which is why they're gambles. This one didn't.
